Any suggestions on the right bit to use?

How many chips does one bit usually last?

Yes you can mill these, no problem. I use leftover ASM chips to test the centering of my jig.

Is this the Gold standard for all chips? Ie Paulson, CPC

The Magnate bit is great, producing a very flat rout. There have been other brands tried with issues that they produced a slightly concave or convex bottom. There may be other bits out there that do the job properly, but the Magnate is a definite winner.

Usually, at least for THC and most CPC molds. A few can go wider.

It's the only one I'll tell anyone to use. And don't switch bits. If you use one brand, that's the brand.
