You know what? there's more going on with Inlay 1 and dealer buttons are huge, so I think that will work, make Inlay 1 a dealer button (course then we can just do that with any moon phase we want)
Great idea! Just a thought you could have a pair of dealer buttons one showing the day and one showing the night (white = day, black = night) sorta thing so you can use different dealer buttons when you're playing in the day or at night LOL but I realised it might not fit into the "midnight casino" theme but it could be fun. Alot of design work which might not be worth.

Blue moon? Blood moon? A special moon would be nice for the dealer button :)

A lunar eclipse/blood moon is probably going to go on a bounty chip, but we could do a solar eclipse for the dealer button. Have the moon blacked out with a bright white ring around it.

For those of you wondering what the 25k would look like with the darker blue (CC03), here you go, this is design 10, and is the same as 7 just with the darker 25k

Design 11 is design 6 with the darker 25k.

But... a solar eclipse only occurs in daytime? Hahaha

Damn, you're right. It's too bad because solar eclipses look cool af. Well, it was a thought. Maybe we could just do the blood moon like for the bounty chip for the dealer one as well. :) Between the casino design being different and the chips being different sizes, anyone who confuses those two are stupid.

I think a blue moon is just two full moons in a month, so IDK if it's anything special about it, unless you mean tinting the moon towards a shade of blue. Get this, volcanic dust from Mt. Krakatoa made the moon appear blue to people for like 2 years after it erupted in 1883.

I wrote this to Woody, here are my thoughts going into this phase:

I'll weigh opinions for the next day or two before making a final decision.

Right now, In my opinion, the silver 500 stands out slightly more, but we may want the silver color for the bounty chip for that exact reason, because of it standing out and being relatively bright compared to some of the other chips.

That's just my first impression though, based on what I'm seeing on these chips. Both 500 designs look really fantastic.

At this point, this is what I need to decide:

A. Silver or purple 500 chip?
B. Medium blue or dark blue 25k chip? (designs 6/7 or 10/11)
C. Do I keep Inlay 1 for a dealer button? (thinking yes)
D. Colors for a future bounty chip?

Once these are solved, I think we're done with these =)

Are you using the 05 silver or 19 silver?
I feel like since this is custom set you should go with what you like, but if you want our input:

A. Purple, with a silver dealer button
B. Dark blue
C. Yes
D. Peach? Light brown? Something that will bring out the blood moon

Feel free to use the solar eclipse!! Nothing wrong with it just want to point out the fact in case you didn’t realise.

I would think its cool too and I don’t see anything wrong with it

I think a lighter pink (CC 31 or CC 32) would be better for the rebuy

And having just "Bounty" and scraping "your night is over" would look nicer. Doesn't make sense since when the person's night is over, he'll be handing the bounty chip to the person who eliminated him? Unless you're thinking the person's night is over when he goes to redeem the bounty chips he won hmm. If you're keen on including it I would say the 2nd one with inlays on both sides.

The "your night is over" was supposed to represent a player knocked out of the tournament, like someone just wrote "muerto!" On the DDLM chips to represent a player being eliminated.

Oh hahaha if it suits your fancy! But definitely inlay both sides

The bounty chip is a little bit of a special story. There was a game show out a long time ago with Chuck Woolery called GREED. Greed had the craziest music you ever heard on a game show. In fact, I even contacted the composer to get a CD at one point in time and I still have it on my computer in both 320kbps mp3 and lossless wav files. Some of the songs they composed for each question were just mood inducing af and have aged extremely well.

When a player was facing a terminator one question showdown against another player, this music would start playing:

I kind of want the chip to be the equivalent of someone hearing that if they are fighting for their tournament life. ;)

everything looks awesome, but shouldn't a bounty chip say "My Night is Over"? Or perhaps just "Good Night"

Maybe swap the 500 and 1000 designs to keep edge spot progression?

Also, might just be me, but I’d recommend doubling up the edge symbols on the 25 and 100 and adding symbols to the 500.

Changes:

1. "Your night is over" will be changed simply to "good night" or "goodnight" to indicate the person was eliminated.

Also I was today years old when I learned that it is okay to use good night as two words.

2. I gotta admit, Inlay 3 for the dealer button looks BADASS. I had intended to keep silver 19 for the color but if that's on both sides, will it be needed?

3. I'm probably going to go with design 10 for the 43mm chips, keep the inlay with the blood moon on it on both sides for the 47mm bounty chip and I am keeping the rebuy as is. Even though most of the chips are warmer colors, this stands out really well.

I think that's all the changes we need. Everything else looks Amazeballs.

also, I'd like to bring up something. First of all, If I ever meet Woody in person, I'll buy him a steak at whatever steakhouse he wants. XD!

I've stated earlier that most of my friends aren't chip collectors. They're people that listen to heavy metal and talk about sexy celebrities from time to time. Honestly, I can assure you with 99.9% certainty we'd rather talk about topless girls in a pool than poker chip molds, if we do play, it'll be low stakes, maybe a $20 game or so. Hell, my friends would talk about game shows before they talked about poker chip styles. TBH I would bore my friends inside of five minutes if I talked about chip molds or inlays. :)

I even showed them the holy grail of chips and it was my friend Sierra that said it looked like something out of the '70s, while most of my other friends said it looked like every other chip they had ever seen. Yet I've been showing them these mockups and the praise is universal. Also, I am extremely young at heart. I don't derive joy from making a ton of money or talking about glory days of anything. (to be honest, I find people who do that make themselves old prematurely)

When I started with the idea for this set, that was my goal, basically to have a 20-year old look at the set of chips and say "I gotta get me one of those". This has happened before with the Wicked Spades and the Dia De Los Muertos where one of my friends who is about that age openly said exactly that "Those chip sets will do the trick". With me already owning two sets of ABC ceramics, I wanted to expand to another product line, hence the Sunfly's. Matter of fact, like I stated previously, I picked up a sample set of the WS and when I brought them to a poker game, a girl who was 26 got so into them that she made me promise to buy an entire set and bring it to the poker game instead of the Desert Palace chips my sister-in-law was using for the game. She even literally said to me at the end of the night "You're gonna bring those wicked spades, right?". So that's how my journey truly started going into high gear with chip collecting.

TL;DR: I think Woody has done the impossible and struck a balance between the younger people that enjoy flashy and modern style chips and the traditionalists that collect chips. I will be taking sample set orders. Just so everyone knows, both @p5woody and @timinater will be receiving sample sets for free, the former for absolutely crushing this design and it being even cooler than I imagined (I probably will give 2 or 3 sample sets because of the exceptional job he has done), and the latter because he had planned to take the idea when Covid-19 made his backlog massive, I figured I will be nice to him for even entertaining my idea and he will get a free sample set.

For everyone else, I will be taking sample set orders once this is complete, and once I find out the price on them, I will take quotes.

#6 lineup looks best, but with the red 5000 chip from #8. This retains the grey 500 and lighter blue 25000.

The red 5000 with blue/white spots actually has an equal (and thus confusing) amount of blue showing when viewed in stacks, which is less than optimum -- especially next to a blue 25k.

One of the ideas behind the darker 25k was since this was the midnight casino, the darker chip would be midnight blue. That's why I went with that. ;) There's a lot of subtleties in there.

I have to admit the spots on the 5000 in design 8 are interesting... the main thing about the blue spots if we keep the darker blue is that the edgespots on the 5000 are bright enough to be very distinctly different.

Guys, I think we may have a winner for the sets:

Check out Dealer Button MK.IV, it has a rolling side:
AA- midnight4.png

The bounty has been changed to the Broadway font and the back simply says "Good night" to simplify the design.

MC-43-chips12.png

This is design 12, a lot of nuances and changes have been done, I think it looks fantastic. I admit the red color where the "500" is is a major improvement.

MC-43-chips13.png

Design 13 is an interesting compromise: It basically takes the 5k chip from Design 8 and allows the 25k chip to have a light blue in the mix. Also the 500 has some 19silver on it. I have to admit it really pops.

Again I want your thoughts on this but I think one of these two designs will work and the dealer, bounty and rebuy chips are looking stellar =)
