I don’t know if a thread dedicated to this set exists…. I searched, didn’t find one.

I’m not even sure if another full sample exists out there…. I searched again…. Maybe I suck at searching

But, as a kid from Merced, this set is just special to me and deserves a showcase spot.

Is the logo just an M and R combined or is it meant to be some kind of image?

I think it is supposed to be MRC...although it looks more like an N.

I've always seen the logo as looking like a mountain made up of the letters of the casino name. Real unique design in my opinion.

So, my assumption was kinda all of the above.

Merced is known as the gateway to Yosemite. We grew up swimming in Yosemite lake, camping at Yosemite, etc.

So mountains mixed with casino letters is what I see. Someone back in 1984 shoved it all in one logo.

I’ve always assumed that was actually some ranch’s brand. Not that I had any reason to make that assumption. But it looks like one.

The $10s are safe... if a full playable set were to ever happen I could be convinced to let them return and be part of such a project... the number would be high as I do love them. Current "fill in"
