I don’t know if a thread dedicated to this set exists…. I searched, didn’t find one.

I’m not even sure if another full sample exists out there…. I searched again…. Maybe I suck at searching  :ROFLMAO:

But, as a kid from Merced, this set is just special to me and deserves a showcase spot.

Is the logo just an M and R combined or is it meant to be some kind of image?

I've always seen the logo as looking like a mountain made up of the letters of the casino name. Real unique design in my opinion.

So, my assumption was kinda all of the above.

Merced is known as the gateway to Yosemite. We grew up swimming in Yosemite lake, camping at Yosemite, etc.

So mountains mixed with casino letters is what I see. Someone back in 1984 shoved it all in one logo.

Here are a few that I had at one time …
Still have some of the $1.00 - $10.00 - $20.00
chips from the Maverick R Casino in Merced .
