best matsui chips that i ever seen for the coulours and the spot..

all the chips are great but the 50 is georgous IMo... Congrats

Please let me know if oneday you decide to sell sample set..

Great to see this set here - not many have custom Matsuis, and this is the best of the best. Those 50s are still absolutely one of the most awesome chips ever produced.

I've always been curious about this set - is it strictly a cash set, or do you use it for tourneys as well? The breakdown is quite strange to me, but I'm sure there's a reason for it somehow...

I've always loved Matsuis. They were my first choice for customs, but were cost prohibitive - at least in the US. Someday maybe... just not today.

Like Ben, I find the breakdown a bit strange. 5s 10s 25s 50s 100s. It's all money, but a little extraneous, especially for a high dollar (euro?) set.

Hi, it is 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 and our homegame is a PLO 2 game.

Most of the time we play with 1,2, 10 and either 25 or 50 as the highest chip.

Occasionally we need the 100s.

the 10 is not so bad..like the 5 and the 100 :).
Only the 1, seem s to be more classical on my mind..

The colour combination choice is near to be perfect..unusual and beauty in the same time, risky but the result is amazing.

That sounds like a GREAT game, for someone who has the bankroll for it.

I think after the 50 my next-favorite is actually the NCV/frac - awesome-looking chip. They all are though - black 1s are sweet...

Is it rude to ask what a set like that costs? I mean ballpark, price per chip. I'm just trying to gauge whether its a feasible endeavor for me.

thanks

Last I heard (which was a couple of years ago):

-Per chip charge not that bad - around $.90/chip for the more basic designs, somewhat but not tons more for the more complex, adding a ring of glitter, etc. (certainly no more than $1.50 per for even the blingiest chip possible from Matsui, unless you are adding additional security features.) The artwork fees and shipping are what will get you.

-$300 artwork setup fee PER DESIGN - so if you want a 1000-chip set with 5 denoms that each have (even slightly) different inlays, you must pay $1500 in artwork fees. If you use the EXACT same art on each chip, you only pay the $300 once.

-Several hundred dollars as well for shipping (from Japan) - variable based on set size but a huge chunk no matter what unless you have plans to go to Japan and pick them up. ;)

one chip cost me about $ 2 including all costs at a time when the Euro was stronger
