I'm curious about other's opinion on this.
I bought a cash set Palace Chipco's from TheChipExchange and really like them.
They are in good used condition. Slight fading but definitely smooth.
I added some 5c and 25c "Pacific" Chipco's from ABC. These are brand new
complete with a nice texture that make them stack great.
The graphics on the Pacific's compliment the Palace's but they aren't a perfect match.
But somehow this doesn't bother me as much as the difference in texture and overall condition.
I shuffled-away the texture on a stack of Pacific's and I'm thinking I might actually try to do the
same to all 300. Or maybe bag them and put them in the dryer?
Is this a dumb idea? Would it even work if I do it?
And this isn't just about Chipco's. I would never mix new and used Paulson's either. Actually this would bug
me even more.

If you want the "real casino experience," then mixed condition is fine, right? :D

It wouldn't bother me unless they are so worn that they are hard to read, as happens to ceramic chips. In a home game, you are good to go.

I am building a custom THC relabel set right now. All of the chips are vintage, and most are mint. Some are worn. Doesn't bother me at all.
