Majestic question... (1 Viewer)

I realize there have been no post to this tread in nearly two years but I wanted to comment that I obsessed over which CC chips I was going to buy for a week before ordering Majestics from Apache. I'm not sure if they improved something in the material or manufacturing process in the two years since this thread was created but even after oiling, mine are not slick at all and stack very nicely. I have to bump the table pretty hard to get a stack of them to shift or fall over. I think they are excellent chips, better than the Milanos.

I love my Majestics chips. They are durable, look great, have bright colors, and stack pretty well now that they have some age on them. Highly recommended if you are going CC.

Somebody on PCF hit his Majestics with a fine grit buffing pad, taking them from “slippy to grippy” if I remember correctly. I’ll see if I can find the thread.

Those look pretty sick, now you're making me question my purchase lol. Those look exactly the same as the Majestic except they have progressive edge spots which I do think is an improvement.

This is just the reason you need to acquire another set of chips. You are welcome!

I wasn’t going to buy the new 43mm chips bc I have Majestics for tournament and a casino Cancun set for cash. Plus I have a ton of the 8v abc chips that I haven’t done anything with yet. However, the edge spots on the new chip designs are outstanding and the chips were promised to have sharp edges as opposed to Majestics beveled edges. That’s the winner for me and I’ll be sure to buy a set if the pre-sale price is better than it will be after the pre-sell. So I’m in and will just have more chips which is not uncommon on the PCF

Oil will fix the chalky feeling, but will probably make the slipperiness slightly worse. I noticed the Majestics were more slippery than my other China clays.
This is weird. A lot of people seem to agree that they are more slippery, but I have multiple china clay sample sets and I feel like the Majestics are the least slippery. One reason why I chose them as my first set.
