Finished some relabeling to create a craps table practice set.

Note the blue $1's (relabeled from $10's) and the orange $1K's, (relabled I bought blank ones) to conform to craps table colors. I chose blues for $ones rather than white just because.

Labels from @Gear. Outstanding service and support from Chris. Love the set, feels great and after some loving oil later they will look fantastic.

Chips from Apache, also great. Also note the single brown $5K. I'm ordering a barrel to complete the small run and some chip racks.

Thanks for looking.

Ya know how you feel what you buy that first car, you know it's not the fanciest thing on the road, but it gets you from here to there? And you know how you feel when you look through those custom car magazines, thinking that you'd like to put on a spoiler or a hood scoop and you begin to dream of the possibilities? And you know how you feel when you express that opinion and those feelings of newness and hope?

And then you get the comment back: "Nice hubcaps." :)

That's what I love about this forum. Honesty.

I’ve been designing a relabel project for months on which I still haven’t pulled the trigger.
It’s a lot of work getting your set the way you want it.

This is just a practice set for 1-2 players as a building block to the future.

50 $Ones, relabeled from $Tens
100 $Fives
50 $Twenty-fives
25 $One-Hundreds
25 $Five-Hundreds
25 $One-thousands relabeled from blank orange
25 $Five-thousands (just because!)

I was going to add a barrel of brown $5K's just because, but I haven't placed the order yet. It's a bit excessive. :)

Edit: One barrel of $5000 browns added anyway. :)

How did you decide on how many chips you needed for the practice table? I am looking at getting a craps table for my home but not sure on how many chips and what denominations I need.

I'm working on the same project. I would like to have a full size (12ft) craps table in my home by years end, but in the meantime I'm using the Majestics in my practice set up throw box (see above).

I started with the quantities listed above just as the minimums to be able to practice with. I am also desiring to either harvest live chips from Vegas casinos to create my Ones and Fives (Aria for the Ones, and I'm undecided on the Fives) and then proceed to desigining logos and artwork for the table and for chips.

I'm thinking of either "Jeff's Practice Pit" and just use the Majestics, or "Fortuna del Oro Resort and Casino" (fortunes gold) with custom artwork & etc.

I would love suggestions or comments on the Fortuna del Oro idea. (how does it sound, what images does it invoke, it is a good name, etc.)

I am going to be in several casinos over the next few weeks and I am going to very closely (and discreetly) "inventory" their table banks for quantities. I will update more here if you wish.

Thanks

cool stuff there. i'm trudging towards a home craps setup as well. just figuring a 1/2 table though (one side & props) something in the 3 x 4 or 5 ft zone. you know have 3 or 4 people play around w/ some presses & parlays

what's it look like & etc?
Assuming it's just about breakdown I use:
200$1
300$5
200$25
200$100
40$500
40$1,000
20$5,000

The bank for that is $186,700 but we normally play 1 penny is a dollar so the bank is really $1,867 dollars which for 1k chips is SUPER low. The difference is that because you are playing against the house instead of other players you don't have the same kind of rebuy cycle you might have.

For example in a night of poker if you had 100 dollar buyins with 8 players(so 800 buying) you might easily by the end of the night thousands on the table. With a craps game of 8 players and everyone buys in for 100 dollars, and the house puts up equal, so 1600 total, that's it.

Also, with the way craps works you need a LOT more chips on the table at once than in poker so many more $1s than might be reasonable.
