Hello everyone, looking for some advice as I am planning a trip to macau sometime in November. I will probably be there for 2 days. Would appreciate any advice from members who have already visited.
What are the games like there? What are the smallest stakes in the casinos there (after a quick search it seems like 3/6 is the smallest game in town)?
How tough are the games?
Any recommendations about places to stay?

The 2 day stop in Macau will be after a week in the Philippines, so if anyone has advice for that part of the trip as well it would be much appreciated.

not sure if this is the right place to post this so if it's not please let me know where I should move the thread to.

:) would have really liked to attend but my girlfriend and I have been planning on going to the Philippines for some time and I can't plan 2 vacations for the remainder of the year. The trip to Macau was added just because of the proximity to the philippines. I hope you have a great time at the EMM. Hopefully I will attend the next European meetup.

If on the weekend, you will not find a game that small anywhere in my opinion. Even at 50/100 HKD (6.5/13 usd) you’d probably have to wait hours for a seat so you should register early. Whenever I go (it’s been while) it takes forever to even get a spot at 100/200 (13/25 usd) so I go straight to 300/600.

But it’s been awhile... maybe it’s different now given how many sharks there are there. All the fish like me have been cleaned out.

Last time at 300/600 it was Johnny Chan at my table and he was one of the weakest players. I was definitely the fish.

Wynn is where it’s at. But you can try Galaxy or Venetian.

Thank you for the details. Do you have an idea if they run tourneys regularly?

Not too sure about tournaments since I don't play them... I just know lots of high roller events there. I don't know about everyday type of tournaments.

Lot of nitty type players there man. People who only play pairs and looking to hit sets. I honestly don't really like playing there... the atmosphere is a lot more serious and less fun. Vegas is so much more fun and lively. But it's still a cool experience if you've never been.
