You can eyeball it from the chip counts, too. The description says it comes with 300 chips, and it looks very snug in there.

Where are you getting that 17.5 inch number? The linked case has no dimensions listed, but I'd be surprised if it were that big.

Are we looking at the same listing? Says it opens on both sides, so that's 8 rows of chips. 19.5" long, let's say 18" inside dimension. 16 chips = 2" ...9x16=144...144x8=1152 or if it is only 4 rows...576. It is 4.5" deep, so It could be 4 rows per side...let us know when it arrives.

Already broke and I’m going to order another one. Yeah it’s a nice little box and sorry but I’m already attached to it. Hard to find wooden cases that can hold over 1000 ships and don’t look like just another case.
