Hey guys,

Planning to make a custom ceramic set through BR Pro and I'd love to get some feedback on my design thus far. Bought an adobe stock image and traced/altered it to my liking with Procreate. Let me know what suggestions you guys have, especially regarding font style, placement and sizing. I appreciate the help.

I like it! Very cool.

My guess is that the text will be very small and hard to read. Be sure to print out a copy at the correctly-scaled size and see for yourself; it's not necessarily a problem, but make sure you're satisfied with it.

The denomination is probably too small as well. That could affect usability. Your players will be more comfortable if they can read the denomination at a glance from a distance. Again, print it out and check it for yourself.

Welcome to the forum!

Looks great! A bigger denom font would probably be better. Try printing it out at the actual size on paper and see what you think.

+1 for bigger font. Make it two lines.

Lost Coast
Poker Room

Great start, and great suggestions so far.

I'd be interested in hearing the back story of this potential theme/set.

One thing I didn't notice the first time: the dollar sign seems oddly large next to the number. Maybe that's a stylistic choice, and that's fine, but it looks a little funny. I guess it's mirroring the use of large caps and small caps in the text, but it doesn't really read that way.

I think the font choice is fine. It's not typical for casino-style designs, but then this isn't a casino-style design. The font fits with the rest of the imagery. With this design, the font is going to have a very strong influence over how the whole thing is perceived; this one works, many others would also work, make sure that you pick one that creates the impression you're aiming for.

Thanks guys for the awesome feedback. I’ll make the font and denom font sizes bigger. I’m also thinking about “Lost Coast Poker Room” vs “Lost Coast Card Room” or “Lost Coast Casino” or just “Lost Coast”. Trying to figure out what flows best. I like “Lost Coast” a lot because it would be the cleanest.

+ 1 'Lost Coast'

Alternate 'Lamp Room' (Light house reference)

I think of you go with “lost coast” you can also afford the space to make the text a bit larger. I like the position of the words but they look a bit tacked on

I'd be interested to see what it would like like with the room name arced around the top right quarter and the denom moved closer to the center. Otherwise I agree with everyone else's suggestions.

Super quick and sloppy edit, but maybe something like this for bigger text?

Looks amazing otherwise - I would agree the text is a little small.

Really cool. The $ so much bigger than the denom throws me off. I'd also play around with the text placement a bit. Words a little close to the denom and might look better offset or not so close to the water.

My first thought was putting "Lost Coast" in the outer ring between the lighthouse and the ocean, with the denom centered in the leftover space. Do you need "poker room"? Design looks really cool.

You could also push the ocean down to make room for a slightly larger lighthouse. The ocean pattern is taking up a large amount of real estate.

Here's some font ideas that I found on fontspace...
