Since moving down to FL I've been blessed to have access to a 50-table poker room just 15 minutes from home. I started a thread on 2+2 that I update each week with my results and it's here if anyone wants to get caught up:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...-elderly-their-social-security-money-1524534/

To give some cliffs:

March - hit $400 high hand jackpot after flopping quad Jacks and holding
April - hit $500 high hand as last high hand of the night with Aces full of Jacks
April - Received a $25 poker comp because I'm always pimping the poker room on Twitter

Started out playing the 3/6 full kill O8 game but quickly moved to 6/12 full kill which has been running regularly on the weekends. A group of regs is attempting to start a 10/20 half-kill game this Saturday as there are some fish that will play if the stakes are higher, so we're trying to make it a regular thing.

I played two tournaments so far, NL Hold Em. One was a Sunday $110 deepstack with 146 entrants where I finished 38th. The most recent was a multi-Day 1 event with a 100K guarantee that was $150 to play. For the Day 1 E that I played there were 119 entries. We were playing until Level 13 (levels are 30 minutes each)

There was 45 minutes left for the night before we'd bag for Day 2. Blinds are 1K/2K with a 300 chip ante and I'm sitting on 35K. A guy at our table has literally raised the last 4-5 hands in a row and min-raises to 4K. I look down at :ah::kh: and shove it all-in. He calls and flips over :ac::qd: and says "good" (in a manner that makes him sound like he's happy I have the hand I have?)

The flop is, of course, :qs::tc::9h: and I brick the turn and river and bust in 23rd place. If I double there I have a shot at making a run on Day 2 for a pretty big score, but the universe doesn't want me to waste my time in tourneys, it wants me beating up on cash games it seems.

Here's some chip porn to get you guys started and I'll update here as well as 2+2 moving forward, wish me luck!

It drove me nuts that they allow 3+ denoms in a limit cash game.

Yeah, that was a bit of an adjustment for me too. I'm definitely looking forward to getting the 10/20 full kill running and seeing if we can keep it running. Won't be seeing the $2 chip in that game.

Hit the casino tonight for a short session. Got a bunch of errands to run tomorrow and we're starting up the 10/20 half-kill O8 game on Saturday around 6pm so want to make sure I'm fresh.

Not a ton of hands to discuss. One where I had :ah::as::5h::js: and raised after a couple of limpers, saw the flop six-handed anyway, which was :3c::4d::6c: and a beautiful :2s: hit the turn. River paired with :3h and I wound up capping it three-ways because I was certain, based on the action on prior streets, that no one else held the wheel. Some fish with the higher straight took the high part of the pot, so no scoop for me but was still a nice win.

Earlier in the night some kid who was the hipster version of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo was involved in a hand and on the river his two opponents checked to him, he bet and then started a speech about how he couldn't believe his set of Kings held up. At that point it was painfully obvious he was begging for a call with his nut broadway straight, and some old guy fell for it and paid him off. #loltalkaments

Last hand of the night I'm UTG with :ah::7h::jc::js: and almost threw it away but decided to take a flop, which was:

:7c::3c::7d:

I check-called a bet and we see the turn three-handed, which is the :9h:. Guy checks, I check, bettor checks. River is the awful :4h: and we both check to the bettor who fires out, I fold, figuring I'm beat and at best playing for half of a pretty small pot.

Here's tonights results:

I noticed the old C notes on the table. Are there many of those circulating around anymore? I haven't seen anything but the new blue ones for a year or so.

Was this a check-around or a bet-call? Do you think it's worth peeling for a small bet in this spot if you can be at least reasonably assured it's not getting raised behind you?

Here recently I've been playing this game, if not "regularly," at least more than once every blue moon. Most of the players are quite solid and I've been a small winner over 4 or so sessions, but I feel like I may not be a favorite in the game. Must work on that. ;)

In that hand I was in the blinds and there had been a number of limpers, so I was in EP. It was checked around on the flop. If I felt I was up against an A2 on the flop I'd likely dump the hand, because then I'm chasing three outs for potentially half the pot (i.e. flush draws, higher straights)

I'd recommend the section in Super System II on O8 as a primer for basic, ABC O8 (which is great for full-ring passive games with 5+ callers seeing a flop) and Mike Cappelleti's Omaha hi/lo Split Poker for short-handed or more aggressive games where you learn concepts like the "promo raise"

I noticed the old C notes on the table. Are there many of those circulating around anymore? I haven't seen anything but the new blue ones for a year or so.

They seem to be about 25% of those in circulation both at my Florida banks and at Atlantic City casinos.

I always insist on all new ones, since it still pisses me off that I've had two old supposedly counterfeit ones confiscated in casinos.

Managed to get the 10/20 O8 game running last night around 5:30pm. We quickly filled it.

A few hours later a 2nd table was called but one player didn't want to start it with just the 6 that showed. Another hour or so and it was called again and the 2nd table ran! We played until about 4am in the main game.

I started off pretty good, getting my stack up to a $200-300 profit pretty early. Then variance reared it's ugly head, a few key pots that stick out:

We're five-handed to the river where one player raises last to act with just the nut low and there are FOUR of us chopping it (i.e. I received one quarter of one-half of the pot) I've seen three-way low chops, but that was my first time experiencing a four-way chop with everyone holding A2

Another hand I have :as::qs::3d::tc: and see a :jc::qh::ks: flop and come out firing. Another player holds KQJx and chases. The turn is the :7s: and river is the :kh: and like an idiot I check-call and pay him off when I know exactly what he's stuck around for.

And a hand where on the turn I had top two pair and the nut low draw and the river bricked for me but gave another player a gut-shot straight when a 9 fell.

At one point I am -$700 for the session. I get up to take a walk and clear my head. I come back refreshed and fight back and manage to book a -$459 loss for the session, which almost feels like a win at that point.

I know there were definitely some spots I played the role of the fish, chasing some one-way half-pot holdings, so I'll be looking to shore up those leaks because I definitely let impatience set in last night in a few spots and was involved in hands I shouldn't have been. That could have easily accounted for a few hundred dollars of my losses, and negative variance for the other half.

Self-assessment time:

THINGS I'M DOING RIGHT

* Getting value from my good hands
* Identifying opponents styles and playing accordingly
* Maintaining positive relations with other players
* Being rested and fresh before I start a session
* Making weaker players feel welcome and stay longer
* Identifying when the game has turned and leaving (i.e. small pots)

THINGS I NEED TO IMPROVE UPON

* Emotional Balance (don't get upset at beats)
* Don't complain about beats, no one cares
* Tighten up preflop calling range
* Play to scoop more
* Don't chase runner-runner low just because it was raised preflop
* Don't be the guy who is second best for high and low
* Don't pay off the chasing players when they hit the river, you know better!

Still trying to figure out what to do with the players who are bad for the game. Only encountered this guy once, they call him "angry dave" and he sat on my right Saturday night.

He came from the must-move table and immediately launched into a loud tirade about another player at the other table who was so bad but running so good, blah blah blah. And my fears with a player like that are:

1. Nobody cares, your negativity is only going to drag the mood of our table down, and I want people happy when they're losing money to me

2. His penchant for pointing out other players mistakes may make the players I want in my game uncomfortable/unwelcome there, or make them play less loose for fear of being berated.

Generally my approach is to try and get along with everyone and make them all feel welcome. But this guy makes me want to needle him and put him on tilt, causing him to play bad.

But then I risk creating more negativity at the table and encouraging him to go further into detail about why other players played poorly, etc. so I think the benefits of tilting this guy would be outweighed by the potential negative results of such an action.

I could try talking to him privately to get the point across, but he may be one of those lost causes.

Nice Thread, Thank you for sharing.

I see we are the same in the "things I need to Improve upon..."

I no longer have my copy of Super System II, and I've been out of the game for awhile so still getting my legs back, so to speak. Found some articles I'm reading to get my play back on track. I thought I had been playing relatively tight, and compared to the other players I have. But it appears I can play even tighter and should:

Angry players kill a table and need to be responded to.

Sometimes a sympathetic comment shuts them up.

Sometimes you can banter overtop of their mutterings and drown them out.

Sometimes needling them makes them entertainment for everyone else.

Sometimes they are both scary and angry and the only thing I know to do then is leave or hope they do.

I'm going to try tickling him next time, laughter is good for the game

Old angry players cannot be reasoned with or intimidated. You must mock them into submission. Threadsaver ideas for you:

1) ask "Was Pangea convenient from a travel perspective?"

2) Inquire "Did you ever shoot a redcoat?"

3) Opine "I think the casino comps are far too generous. Why do you regs take advantage of the casino?"

4) sweetly ask "What was it like hanging out with Honus Wagner?"

5) poll "So, this electricity thing - here to stay or just Edison's latest passing fad?" (HQ takes credit for this one).

After reflection I was definitely playing way too many hands Saturday which contributed to my being down $700 at one point. Yeah, there was some negative variance in a few spots as well, but feeling like my losses that night were 70% pre-flop hand selection and flop decisions to continue when I should've been getting out of dodge.

Definitely going to tighten it up for this weekends sessions and see how it goes.

Played a session of 3/6 O8 on Thursday afternoon into evening. Was up $50-60 early, but took a downswing that saw me leave as a loser for the session. Still, feel I played well this time around and was just on the negative side of variance. A couple of key hands:

KEY HAND #1

I hold :as::2s::4h::6h: and in a multi-way pot see a flop of:

:3d::6c::6d:

I immediately fire out and get called in multiple spots.

Turn: :3s:

fire again, called in multiple spots again.

River: :td:

And I have to give it up when two guys go to war, they are holding:

:ac::3c::5h::tc:
:kd::qd::js::9h:

Yes, one guy went chasing for what will usually be half the pot with a non-nut flush draw on a paired board. The game IS that good. Mathematically here's how it looks:

Flop: 71% to scoop.
Turn: 69% to scoop

Despite the pretty rough beat, I shake it off and don't let it tilt me, or even bemoan my bad luck, or show my cards around to everyone to have them join me in mourning the loss of a great pot. I'm pretty happy with myself given stress from work lately, that I let this one slide.

KEY HAND #2

I hold :ac::3h:5c::qh: and see a flop of:

:qs::qd::9c:

A newer player at my table, but one I feel is playing well, fires out. I opt to just call, TWO other players call as well? I guess we all have a Queen in our hand.

Turn :jh:

Original bettor checks, I check, guy at the other end of the table fires, two players fold, I call. River is the :9d: I check-call and he turns over:

:kc::js::jd::3d:

Yes, he called the paired flop chasing a gutshot straight and hit the two-outer to fill up. Unfortunately I didn't handle this one as well as I did the previous beat, letting out a "oh come on" when I saw what I was up against (if he had flipped over QJxx I wouldn't have been as upset about it)

Flop odds: I am 76% to scoop
Turn odds: I am only 23% to scoop

Those were the bigger hands that stuck out that really hurt my session. But overall I'm comfortable with how I played. Late in my session a new guy got seated two to my right, and he was a miserable prick. The guy was a grump from the get-go, and started bitching about another player at the other end of the table playing awful hands.

There was one instance where this fuckhat said "dealer, let me see that hand!" loudly and grumpily (is that a word?) at showdown (that he wasn't even in) to see what the fish was in there with.

How do you handle guys like this? They really destroy the nature of a table and might push out the profitability (because their inflated egos won't allow them to see a fish win when they're losing) My first instinct is a throat punch, but I'm trying not to get 86'd from the casino. I could bribe a cocktail waitress to spike their drink with a laxative and sleeping pill, and while that may be profitable to put on Youtube for millions of views, it will probably disrupt the table if the sleeping pill kicks in before the laxative and they're still seated rather than in the bathroom.

Friday night played a quick 45 minutes in the 3/6 O8 game while I waited for the 6/12 to get called, lost $29. The 6/12 was a GREAT game, a lot of weak spots splashing around. One of the largest pots I've ever seen in that game came up relatively early.

It's a kill pot so we're playing 12/24 and I hold :ah::2s::6c::8h: on the button. Tons of limpers and lady to my right raises holding :as::3c::9c::9s:. I call, bunch of other players call, EP limper three-bets to $36, everyone calls. We see the flop EIGHT WAYS in a three-bet pot.

Flop: :6h::8s::jc:

I call a bet as do many others. Turn is the :9h:

There's a bet in EP, bunch of callers, lady with the set of 9's raises, I cold-call with the nut low draw, two pair and the nut flush draw. River comes out :6s:

It's bet and called FOUR ways and we have one guy in there with the straight, another in there with 8's full, the lady with 9's full and me with 6's full, lol. She scoops a monster pot, like $700 or something silly and proceeds to tell us she "just knew" when she saw the pair of 9's preflop........

She continues to win a bunch more hands early and is sitting on over $1,000 in the game, but by the end of the night she'll be cashing out for less than $100.

For the majority of the night I play well, I'm patient, I fold a lot. There's a period where for 3-4 dealer rotations I play so few pots I wonder if I'm even there anymore. If I do play, I flop my nut flush draws and brick-brick in multiway action. I watch my stack steadily decline while the loosey-goosey players are racking up big pots (hey, it keeps em coming back, I say "nice hand" a lot and keep the ATM's happy)

Around the 3am mark I'm pretty beat, not necessarily because of the hour, but because I've just been losing all night and it eventually takes its toll on you. Then I misplay a hand and profit from it.

In another kill pot I hold :ac::2c::6s::td: on the button , bunch of limpers, guy in LP raises and I call the $24 as do a bunch of other players. The flop comes out

:kh::qd::5c:

everyone checks to the pre-flop raiser, who fires out. I figure he's full of it. At this point if I was going to continue with the hand, I should be raising, since all I have is a backdoor flush and low draw, and a gutshot wheel draw. I muck it all up and just call, a bunch of other players call.

The turn is a beautiful :3c:

Once again I muck it up, an EP player bets, everyone is calling, I should raise, but because I've been whiffing all night I allow that negativity to creep into my mind, figuring this is just another one of those teasers to make me lose more money, and I just call.

The river is the :4s:

Checked around to the lady who scooped the monster pot earlier and she bets $25. I raise, holding the nut low and 2nd nut high. Everyone folds to her and she calls, tabling:

:2h::2d::6h::jc:

Yes, I shit you not, that was her hand. So I get 3/4th of the pot which is nice, but still book a -$109 for the 6/12 session. I'm more upset about my misplaying that hand than about my end result in what was a profitable game. I played it fine preflop, poorly on the flop, and poorly on the turn, I'm fine with my river play because I don't think we were getting a ton of overcalls from the other players if I don't raise her.

Got the 10/20 running again Saturday night, but not without it's hiccups. Players showed up around 4pm instead of the originally planned 6pm and started the game.

The previous week we had paid rake. This week, however, the floor told everyone it was going to be a $6 time charge per half hour. I was told by players when I arrived that the floor took the time charge immediately, and then 10-15 minutes later the dealer was changed and they tried to charge again, so four of the players up and left pissed.

I arrived closer to 5pm and we got the game going again and ran until 5am. I messaged my management contact from the poker room but he said the head honcho of the poker room handed down the time charge and it couldn't be changed.

Started off my session good, was up $250 fairly early, then it all went downhill and wound up booking almost a $500 loss for the 10 hour session. Here are the key hands:

KEY HAND #1

Turn: A

River: Q
diamond.gif

I bet out and the guy with the Aces full is worried I have quads so he just calls and I see the bad news.

Flop: 74% equity to the other guys 27%, he cold-calls two bets
Turn: down to 15% equity to his 85%

KEY HAND #2

I raise with A

a fish cold-calls the two bets holding Q

Another bad player who has been raising a lot three-bets from the blinds, I cap it, both players call.

Flop comes down:

Blind guy bets, I raise, fish with QQ25 cold-calls?

Turn: 3

We both check to QQ25 guy who fires, we call.

River: 8

unless you're playing ludicrously tight, you're going to be much better off paying time than rake. and even if you are playing ludicrously tight, you'd rather time anyway so that the loose players aren't getting raked off the table playing 80%+ of their hands.

I disagree, the time rake hurts us more when the game is full with ten players, which is has been. Here are my maffs:

10 players x $12/hr = $120 off the table
20 hands/hr x $6/hand = $120 off the table

But...........we aren't getting 20 hands/hr all the time. Here are the problems we face with time vs rake:

* Not eligible for high hand bonus, royal flush bonus or bad beat jackpot when paying time (the fish like these things)

* We get a number of dealers in our rotation who just suck and are super fucking slow, which kills us on time charges

* When a new dealer shows up they have to count down the till, and then if there's an error they have to wait for the floor to show up. Meanwhile we've paid full price to sit and not get dealt hands

* The house doesn't care if there's only 10 minutes left to go when they start the game, they'll take your $6 then and 10 minutes later ask for another $6

Now, if the game is short-handed then the time charge is great, but that's pretty rare in this game.

I'd rather pay rake then time at O8 - even competent dealers will need to take their time splitting pots. If I have to pay time, I'd rather use the biggest chips possible to minimize the dealer's work (and I love having a lot of chips on the table).

In reality, the players end up helping the dealer read a lot of boards, which further slows the game down.

I think the argument that time should be paid can be counteracted with "fine, but the house is going to provide super competent O8 dealers". Then call the floor every time you get a dud. Which might get you back to rake but will definitely alienate the poker room manager. So I'd just play 6-12 and pay rake.

That's horseshit. I'd rack up and leave too (and I never leave games, even when I should, lol).

Played an afternoon into evening session of 3/6 O8. Only made one mistake during the session, where I rivered a runner-runner 2nd nut flush in a pot where multiple players had checked it all the way down (I was in the blinds) and on the river the low and flush came in and I fired out the $12 (kill pot) and got raised by a guy who held A
spade.gif
2
spade.gif
and paid his nut-nut off, dumping $24 unnecessarily.

Aside from that, a key hand that cost me some dough was this:

I'm in the BB and hold 3
heart.gif
5
diamond.gif
Q
diamond.gif
Q
heart.gif
and after a bunch of limpers I check my option and we see the following flop:

Q
club.gif
T
diamond.gif
3
club.gif

The SB leads out with a bet, I raise. A limper and the SB cold-call. Turn 4
diamond.gif
and it's checked to me, I bet, both players call.

River is the awful 2
spade.gif
and it's checked to me, I check and the cold-calling limper bets, I call and he turns over:

A
spade.gif
J
spade.gif
4
heart.gif
5
club.gif

So on the flop he cold-called two bets with a gutshot broadway draw (three outs if he's up against someone with the club flush draw) and the backdoor non-nut low draw. Here's the maffs on this one:

Flop: 69% EV
Turn: 69% EV still

So that kinda sucked. I did finally manage to book a winning session, although a paltry +$30. But given I'm coming off three losing sessions in a row at multiple stakes, I'll take the small win for some much needed confidence boosting.

Played a session from noon - 11:30pm today. Started off great, I scooped a number of pots early and at one point was up almost $200.

I even considered leaving and booking the win, but I'm generally not a fan of that approach. If I feel the game is profitable, I like to be in it, so I remained.

Unfortunately things of course turned against me and I saw that profit shrink to $100, and then to -$25 by the time I cashed out. Here's some hands where I got unlucky and some where I played bad:

KEY HAND #1

Bunch of limpers, I limp A
spade.gif
A
club.gif
5
club.gif
K
diamond.gif

Now one might argue I should be raising, but this is loose-passive O8 for the most part, and those limpers aren't folding, so I can't narrow the field. In addition, while my hand is good, it's not great against a large field, which is what I'll be facing, so I opt to limp.

Flop: A
heart.gif
Q
spade.gif
5
spade.gif

Everyone checks to me, I fire a bet two guys call (one is chasing the K-high flush and the other chasing the J-high flush)

Turn: 9
heart.gif

They check, I bet, they call.

River: 7
spade.gif

They both check, I give up and check, the K-high flush wins high, they both split the low with 26 in their hands.

FLOP: 40% equity three-ways
TURN: 53% equity three-ways

KEY HAND # 2

It's a kill pot so we're playing 6/12. I limp A
club.gif
2
club.gif
6
spade.gif
J
club.gif
in LP after other limpers.

Flop: 5
heart.gif
6
heart.gif
9
spade.gif

One of the blinds fires out, bunch of callers, I call.

Turn: 6
diamond.gif

Everyone checks to me, I fire out a bet, two callers.

River: K
club.gif

Both check to me, I fire again, get called by the guy in the blinds who flopped the straight.

FLOP: 30% equity
TURN: 29% equity

KEY HAND #3

Bunch of limpers, I'm in the SB holding A
spade.gif
J
heart.gif
9
spade.gif
4
club.gif
and limp along. The BB raises, everyone calls, I call.

Flop: Q
spade.gif
9
heart.gif
6
spade.gif

I check, the BB bets, everyone calls, I check-raise and get another bet in there, someone else three-bets it, I just call as does everyone else.

Turn: A
heart.gif

I check, few more checks, there's a bet, guy in LP raises, I call both cold with outs to scoop.

River: K
heart.gif

I check and it's checked around, one guy has AQxx and another AKxx and the two pair scoops. I guess I should've bet the river flush/straight scare card and at least take a shot at it.

FLOP: 47% equity three-ways
TURN: 21% equity

KEY HAND #4

I'm in the SB with KJxx and we see a flop of 9TQ rainbow, I lead right out, bunch of callers. Turn is 3
heart.gif
and I bet again and bunch of callers. River pairs the T, I check, BB bets and says "I'm bluffing" and everyone folds and I fold and he turns over his quad Tens.

FLOP: 64% equity
TURN: 75% equity

KEY HAND #5

This one I ****ed up. I have A
heart.gif
3
heart.gif
xx in the blinds and see a flop of 5
heart.gif
9
heart.gif
T
heart.gif
and I check into a large field hoping someone will bet, no one bites. Of course the board pairs 5's on the turn and like an idiot I bet into the field and find two callers. The river is a brick and I bet again, cause I got two callers I'm assuming they both have a 5 and hoping they didn't boat up on me. I get raised and like a dumbass I call and the guy flips over quad 5's.

FLOP: 63% equity

KEY HAND #6

LAG Asian guy on my right has been donking it up, doesn't really know what he's doing but he's good for the game. he raises pre, I three-bet A
heart.gif
A
spade.gif
6
heart.gif
6
diamond.gif
in an attempt to isolate him, that fails miserably, 27 people call when it winds up capped.

Flop is 3
heart.gif
8
diamond.gif
Q
heart.gif

The flop gets bet and called by multiple players.

Turn: 3
spade.gif

Guy in the blinds who called the cap preflop with, I **** you not, 88JK leads out with his boat and the river brings a low card and the LAG Asian is sitting on A2xx.

FLOP: 25% equity three-ways

So instead of leaving after a few hours +$200 I leave after 11.5 hours with -$25

However, when you're in a game where a guy is calling a cap preflop with 88JK it's usually a great fricken idea to STAY IN THAT GAME! Variance be damned I say!

So mistress luck is kicking me square in the nuts lately, and yeah, I'm making a few missteps along the way. But I think I'm playing well overall and that I'm staying in the game when it's good and leaving when it's not good, and that's what I should be doing.

Sounds like a juicy game if every hand is multi-way limp- call and you can raise only AAlo-x and nobody catches on. Not much to contribute except for some reason the card suit renders as a gif thumbnail in tapatalk and limit hand histories should not include the phrase "fires out." [emoji12]

I raise when I have a23 combos as well to build pots. Not sure if I'll get to todays trip report today or tomorrow, but I've got some fun hands to share.

Played another 3/6 O8 session yesterday. What a roller coaster ride, couldn't get anything going early on. Here's a hand that sucked major donkey dick and put me on crazy monkey tilt.

HAND OF INTEREST #1

It's a kill pot, so we're playing 6/12. I'm in the blinds holding A
diamond.gif
2
heart.gif
3
spade.gif
3
club.gif

We have a ****-ton of limpers, like seven or something, so I raise, everyone calls.

Flop comes down:

A
spade.gif
6
heart.gif
T
diamond.gif

I bet out, they all call, including two players that wind up all-in.

Turn: 10
club.gif

I bet again, trying to rep the AAxx raise here, get a bunch of folds, except the two all-ins of course and there's one player in LP who calls.

River: K
spade.gif

I bet again, he thinks for awhile and eventually calls and he flips over:

9
heart.gif
J
heart.gif
J
diamond.gif
Q
diamond.gif

Yes, he called on a paired board chasing a gutshot broadway draw, this game is a ****ing goldmine and I'm getting the shaft (I c wat u did right there). He scoops.

Flop: 70% equity
Turn: 80% equity
River: **** YOU!

I seriously lost my **** after that hand. I've been pretty much losing since Friday, and I had this ****er scooped until that river, just so sick. I wasn't swearing AT any of the players, but I was audibly swearing. I'm not proud, but I was seriously pissed. I felt like Matusow bemoaning how bad I run.

Fortunately, the day was not completely lost. Despite being down close to $300 at one point, it turned around. A dealer showed up who was like a godsend, dealing me monsters and letting me flop or turn them and get paid off.

One hand I flopped the wheel and this Asian fish who is great for the game hung around to river a gutshot higher straight for half my pot, otherwise I scoop. Of course, he also bet out with an 8-high flush and got the Q-high flush to come along when I had turned the Ace-high flush and the 2nd nut low (unfortunately had to split that pot with someone holding the A3 low)

Here's a hand I should've not called, but worked in my favor sort of:

HAND OF INTEREST #2

Bunch of limpers, I limp button with Q
club.gif
T
club.gif
3
heart.gif
4
diamond.gif

Flop: K
diamond.gif
J
heart.gif
2
spade.gif

Everyone checks to me, obvious bet is obvious, I bet. One caller who holds Q
diamond.gif
J
club.gif
9
spade.gif
8
diamond.gif

Turn: A
diamond.gif

He check-calls again.

River: T
spade.gif

He check-raises me, I three-bet and he just calls and we both chop with broadway. Le sigh. But seriously, I shouldn't even be limping that garbage.

FLOP: 36% equity
TURN: 81% equity

HAND OF INTEREST #3

here is the hand that saved my session (even though my session was an overall loss)

Tons of limpers, like 7 or something. I'm on the button with A
club.gif
2
club.gif
5
diamond.gif
5
club.gif
and raise it up, everyone calls.

Flop: 7
spade.gif
8

8
spade.gif

Everyone checks to me, I bet, they ALL call!

Turn: 6
heart.gif

Checked around to me, I fire, they call. I start thinking "let that river be a 5, let that river be a 5...BAM!"

River: 5
heart.gif

Everyone checks to me, I fire again, ****-ton of callers, I flip it over and SCOOP the whole mother!

It's checked around and the two good players in the hand get quartered while the fish wins high.

heart.gif

SB checks, BB fires, I fold.

I won $69 for this session of under 6 hours, so still under expectation. But I'm relatively happy with how I've been playing. Tomorrow is the 10/20 game and I'm going to try to bring a notebook and record EVERY hand I play (even the ones I fold)

Hopefully I can pull it off, we'll see.
