my game is .10/.10. i expect it to grow to .10/.20. the chips we use are 10c, $1, $5.

i'm digging the paris $1s and aurora star $2.50.
i would most likely keep the paris $1s at face value and relabel the AS to $5.

i'm looking for something to be my 10c chip.

because i'm gonna need at least 4 racks of a 10c chip, i would prefer it to be on the cheaper side. THC/RHC.
bally's $1s would be nice but $250/rack is a little out of my price range for my workhorse chips.

any suggestions lmk!

There may be a few affordable options with edgespots but they will in that $200 price range

i think HSI 1as might work. same sort of spots as the paris.

Yes they may, you'll be mixing RHC and THC chips though

yeah all my chips are RHC. haven't got any THCs at all! I figured since casinos do it, it can't be that bad.. can it?

Be careful, saying things like that may lead to PCF probation.

Oh ok, I assumed you had the Paris and Aurora stars which are THC chips
They're both 39mm its merely a visual displeasure to some folks. I'd rather they mix RHC and THC than house moulds and RHC

yeah i can probably agree to that. house moulds just don't do it for me though, which is probably my bias

It doesn't not work. For some folks it would not be an option for personal preferences. In your case it's workable given the relevant costs you're trying to work with

Fair enough. If you’re ok with mixing Thc and rhc then that opens up a lot of options.

If you are not too worried with condition sometimes spinettis has spotted worn hot stamp chips that are pretty affordable and can be milled for your dimes

i do occasionally browse spinettis.. mainly for cards but i check the chips too. usually whenever i see chips they are either available in really small quantities or have some burn marks on them or something

They also mixed well together with Paris and AS Snapper

yeah they're alright. colours seem a little boring. about a dollar a chip used though, so worth considering.

You could also probably find the horseshoe Cleveland chips fairly affordable. I think they were about $0.65 ea in the original sale. Most in circulation are pretty well used

I think it because GPI refers to both RHC and THC chips as "hat and cane", and to IHC chips as "43mm oversize"

So to an untrained eye, RHC THC look like the same to them

Here's a suggestion that could save you some money:
I don't consider the 10ct your workhorse chip.

As soon as you grow your game to .10/.20 the $1 will be your workhorse chip.
If that's not on the horizon anytime soon you could also relable the Paris to 50ct and keep the snappers as they are for a perfect 5x in denom jumps. This way the Paris are your workhorse for the foreseeable future and you'd only need one rack of .10 chips.

This is what I did for my .10/.20 game.

@OfficerLovejoy you've got a point. i have been thinking about bally's 10c paris 50c AS 2.50. i actually don't know if it's cheaper tho.
