I've been wanting to build a custom CPC cash set for a long time and even though the MD-50 mold is not in production right now, I'd like to have things ready to go when it is again. The denominations are.25/1/5/20. I don't have an inlay design yet, so I just stuck the CPC stock inlay on. I'd love to hear some feedback on this set and see what you all think.

I like all of them, the one looks like a NY NY one (love it). You may consider changing the yellow in the 20 with the base color close to the 5 you may get dirty stacks, or change the base color.

Looks like you're going with mostly non-weighted colors. Is that intentional or accidental?

Love the quarter - brights for the win!

Love the 1 - I totally agree w/chipjoker that it looks like NYNY's 1's (which are clean and classy)

The $5 reminds me of World TH&C's $5 - not a bad thing, either!

I'm not a huge fan of the $20. That's not critical feedback, mind you - just personal preference, as I've never really been big fans of 8D or 8X spot patterns unless they're 8v. They're just too busy for my liking.

As far as the 814 spot goes, it really came down to keeping with the spot progression: 314, 414, 614, etc.

I don't particularly care for the brass flakes, so I'm trying to use almost all unweighted colors.

I love the $5 chip. I know there was a casino-issue that looked the same, but the WTH&C $5 chip is one of my all time favorites.

I'm absolutely not against members mocking up revisions. It helps to have an outsider's perspective.

If going with just four denominations and 1/4" spots, try using a 2-3-4-6 (or 2-3-4-5) progression for a less-cluttered look for your $20. The X-spot 414 is a nice unique look, too, especially combined with a vertical 214 spot for your quarter.

I understand the desire to avoid the "brass flake look" by choosing CPC's non-weighted colors, but I wouldn't let that overly restrict your spot color choices. Especially with the smaller spots (1/8", 1/4"), the flakes are hardly noticeable on the rolling edge - and you open your color palette up quite a bit. Just keep the base color flake-free, and use no more than one weighted spot color per chip.

Nice $1 chip. I've mocked up that same chip in the past.

If you want to stick to unweighted base colors, why not do a Cali colored set? I think the unweighted colors lend themselves particularly well for that. Use DG peach/DG arc yellow, retro blue, DG yellow/DG Saturn, and then maybe retro red for the $20

The only problem with that is that the red $5 chip is my favorite of the bunch and the one I'm completely dead set on. That's my favorite chip of the whole set.
