I have a HSI chip set that I use for my craps table. I currently have 10 pieces of the $1,000 orange chips, but having only 10 pieces is insufficient for some of my hot streaks and I've found myself needing more $1,000 chips. I recently went on a tear where I turned a $500 bankroll into $22,000 in chips, but I digress.

What I've come to realize, however, is that I HATE the 43mm chips. Color is fine, its just the size that bothers me. It messes up my rack height when I put them away, look funny, stack funny with the smaller chips, etc. So what I want to do is ditch those and get another $1,000 chip to replace it that would look like it belongs with the set. I'm looking for some expert advice as to what would be recommended in a 39mm chip that is of the same mold, inlay size, etc, that I could obtain and use. I would appreciate your suggestions.

Santa Ysabel $2s maybe? I always had these in mind for a 1000 denom

This tool comes in pretty handy.

I know is not the same mold, but I've always thought the Jerry's Nugget $1 would be a nice 1K relabel. I was thinking more for a tourney set with no $1 chips in play.

I don’t know enough about molds, inlays, and relabeling. Would these work?

You probably shouldn’t use solid red $1ks with spotted chips. It ruins the progression and you might get dirty stacks if you use HSI Primary $5s. I like @AWenger’s idea of Santa Ysabel $2s, those should work nicely. They’re also fairly easy to find and only ~$4/chip.

I ordered Plaques..... they are a few bucks cheaper per piece.

For the higher denoms, I also like plaques.
It's quite affordable with MSK and they even accept very small orders.

But if you don't like 43mm and prefer 39mm chips, I guess plaques are not an option...

I like plaques, but it’s for my craps table, so I really can’t use them for that

Sounds like you need a crazy spot pattern on a Blaze Orange chip... the Terribles $500s would work for that, but costly and ouch the thought of Murder

Sorry the pic is zoomed in and crappy quality.

Also a cheaper option but maybe not easy to find would be Diamond Jo $2 chips, not amazing on the spots but way Brighter than this picture
