I need 2 barrels of 20's...
I'm new, So I don't really knows what's out there or what I like yet...
But I'm trying to make a mix set. With the terrible's 1's and the Isle of capri 5's and the 20's?

Sounds like you are looking for RHC chips? Nit sure what you mean by "IOC 5s and the 20s" there is no IOC 20 they had a green $25.

As far as $10s and $20s. Most don't play both and will tell you that a $10 chip is not efficient as it is only a x 2 value higher than the $5 chip, but it is your game and run it how you see fit. I too wanted more denoms and pretty colors in play when I joined the forum and shortly after realized that these guys know exactly what they are talking about. If just playing NL holdem woth no split pots other than tied hands... then yup go ahead and play what you want. But if you get into mixed games with lots of split pots it can be a nightmare having more than 3 - 4 denims to account for in the pot.

Again either way that is your choice on how to build YOUR set. As far as the chips, nothing really comes to mind for original $10s and $20s, likely your best bet is going to be finding a chip you like and relabeling it to what you want. Much easier to find a suitable RHC $25, often they are even cheaper than the $5s. The HSI secondary $25 is one of my favorite ever made, many of them have been gobbled up in sets already but seems like there may still be a few floating around.

Best of luck with the serch!

Hot stamps? I’ve got a green rack of $10 in really good shape. $20 are doable, just a lot harder and much much more $$$.

Thanks for taking the time to reply...
Maybe not a bad idea, to relabel...
Don't think a hot stamp, will fit in with the terrible's and the Isle of capri...
Really nice 20's you got...

Need a starting stack of 100..
1×10 5×10 and then?
Take a barrel of fives and a barrel of ones and set them next to each other.
Then take four of the $5 chips and put them back in the rack.
Play poker with what you have left, introducing higher denoms as players rebuy or add on later.
It’s only when bets or calls of multiple hundreds that $20/$25 become “easier” than just pushing a barrel of fives in.

Many or most people here would say a starting stack of $100 doesn’t require any chips bigger than $5s
Agreed. Played at the casino last Saturday. $300 (max at the 1-3 table) buy in was three barrels of $5s. I played for 4 hours and never touched a larger chip.

@Bigbluff81 Where the $20s come in nice in a low stakes home game is when your players re-buy. If a typical rebuy is $20 to $60 and they pay with $20 bills, you just give them the $20 chips and they make change at the table with the bigger stacks. That way the total number of chips on the table doesn't get out of hand. Only smaller chips in play are from the original stacks.

I'm a micro stakes home game player, so I'm definitely team $20 over using $25s. It's worth the effort to me to find a chip I like and relabel it a $20. I'm sure that locating some of those gorgeous $20s that @ekricket posted, or most anything similar would be way more costly than just relabeling a more common chip.

Plaques is just not my cup of tea...
Thinking of going with the relabels, but don't have any experience with it...
Just heard alot about gear
Maybe I need to control my OCD, and go with 10×1 8×5 and two 25's.
But 10×1 10×5 and two 20's or four 10's...
Just feels and looks better...

You can do it. I really don't think you want half of a $100 buy in tied up in two chips. Just use all $5s for your original stacks. Then look around for the right relabel candidate. At first, you may only need a barrel or two of $20s, depending on how big your game plays.

Here's an option for a great looking chip that is in the classifieds right now. You can use it as a $25 as is, or murder a couple of barrels to make into $20s.
