Hello PCF'ers,
I've lurked at Chip Talk and here on and off for a long time, but never really got into posting. I decided it's about time for an intro. I've been neglecting poker for the past few years but starting to get the urge to play again. My chips sets have been dormant for a while and I figured it's time to start adding/swapping/blowing money on chips again.
I used to play online but was never big into it, just more so for practice. I've played some tourneys at my local casino (Riverside, Iowa), but my goal now is mainly to get my every-few-week home game going again... and perfect my chip set.
My two current sets are a mixed casino-used Paulson set (pic below) and a small set of 400 CPS tourney chips that I plan to add to. My rules for the mixed set are:
My Detroit quarters somewhat violate the rules but quarters are hard to come by, and they're really pretty, so I live with it despite my chip OCD. I'm happy with the set overall but I've had my eye on some replacements for years. I think the Foxwoods $1 would go better than the current Treasure $1's. I've also considered picking up some Funsters $100's which would let me use the Freddie's $25 for a little more pop than the Horizon's I have now. I've always thought the options for a grand inlay, white background, $25 chip were very limited. I don't even really need a $25 or $100 cash chip, but who cares about what we need, right? If anyone has suggestions for upgrades I'd love to hear them.
Anyway, that's my story. I'll try to join the conversations and maybe pick up a few racks in the classifieds once I get my post count up.

- Paulson
- Grand inlay
- White inlay background
- Each denomination comes from a different casino and different locations of the same casino count as one. So Terrible's St. Jo and Terrible's La Grange are one casino. This one causes me issues because some casinos have multiple spectacular chips. (ex. Freddie's $25's and $100's)
- Come from an actual casino and preferably have seen some action. I want break-in but not rounded edges.
- I don't care about the mold so much as long as the boarder/inlay size is the same as the grand inlay chips.
- I'm not a fan shaped inlays.
