LeLe's One Year PCF Journey (1 Viewer)

Restocked of my supply of racks.

60 more of them just nice for another potential 6000 chips room in the future

Paris Theme FDL Le Boudoir Chip + Plaques Set
Chip Project #9

Picked up a FDL Le Boudoir 500 Chip Set on a bargain price but it was short on $20 and $100 if I ever want to play higher than 25c/25c stake

Decide to go with a Paris Theme and add on Club Montmartre Plaques instead for the $20 & $100 after some failed search for add on Le Boudoir $20
More backstory from https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/which-breakdown-will-you-prefer.91708/

This Set can Cover 25c/25c to 50c/$1 stake

Ever since my OG poker gang raise the stake from 10/20c to 25/25c plus combination of acquisition a number of other sets after that, my New China Club (10/20c micro Cash Set) haven been able to see much usage and I been trying to release it back to the public.

No luck in selling but an opportunity for a trade with another Card Mold Set arise that will suit the group stake better

This set will mostly be a donation to the group (I think it time to retire those sluggo chips) so they can use whenever I can’t join them and while I got the chips set on hand why not take some pictures as well

Taj Mahal Card Mold Cash Set

This Set can Cover 25c/25c to 50c/$1 stake, but considering the group took 10+ year to raise the stake from 5c/10c to 25c/25c it may be take awhile if it ever reach 50c/$1

Which denominations you use for your .10/.20 Cash Game? How many chips do you use for one table up to 9 hands?

My gang had been using $1 as 10c $5 as 50c $25 as $2.50 etc so basically playing $1/$2 stake at one tenth of the face value

I built all my cash set around 600 chip with the basics of

Blind Chip x 100
Primary Workhorse Chip x 200
Secondary Workhorse Chip x 200
Big Value Chip x 80-100

An example will be

$1 x 100
$5 x 200
$25 x 200
$100 x 80 $500 x 20

It will be more than enough for a full ring table but I mostly played 6-7 handed so I only need 1 rack of Secondary Workhorse chip rather than 2 racks

Myself I use for 8 players :
0.10 x 160
0.50 x 160
1 x 240
5 x 160
20 x 80

80 x 10c and 80 x 50c would be enough but this is to cover mixed games where fixed limits are also involved.

I kind of always get bothered by the breakdown between .50 and $1. So far I have never played these limits with friends with a corresponding set, but converted values like you did.

Am just about to form a Paris Cashset.

Would like for the reason to convince my people to go to .25/.25 from .10/.20 and start at .25 as frac.

If you are going full custom for the chipset, I will do either of the following breakdown

10c x 100
50c x 100
$1 x 200
$5 x 140 $20 x 60

Or

10c x 100
50c x 200
$2 or $2.50 x 200
$10 x 80 $50 x 20

Denomination below $1 Poker Chip was quite uncommon and fracs are non existent 15-20 years ago, and my first set have 2 rack of $1 $5 $10 & $25

We used $5 & $25 as 5c 25c instead and $1 & $10 as face value when we start out playing 5c/10c

After that we change to 1/10 face value $1/$2 when moving up the stake to 10/20c, occasionally we play 25c/25c where we use $25 as 25c and rest as face value

Would like for the reason to convince my people to go to .25/.25 from .10/.20 and start at .25 as frac.
The Stake will be higher for sure as there going to be 50c dead money in the pool as compared to 30c

Standard opening raise change from 50-60c to 75c-$1

We started off by occasionally raising the stake for special occasions and slowly move up the stake as we played.

But we tend to make the game small by only starting at the 100bb buyin and first rebuy in at 100bb and 200bb, also very often we run it twice when going ALL IN

We mostly played for poker and not for money

Having reach double digit number of playable Set now, I decided to limit my Current Set for rotation to 6

I will review the Sets I be rotating and swap them out in the future, I had assemble a good variety of different Chip set which either had something that I like or some meaning that I can refer to

Looks like those 36mm (in the back with the bright colors) need a little bit of oil love! Man they look tiny! Lmao
Still undecided if I will oil them, maybe after I clean the rest of the chips first

 I didn’t oil the last time I spring clean my chip and they eventually get “oiled” when I put them to play

Eldorado Casino FHC T5 Set
These Giants are going to be my Grail Set and another great additional to my collections, I never been so excited about one purchase till date

Now having owned a 43mm & 48mm playable Set, maybe my next target could be a Full 60mm Cash Set make out of all Dealer Buttons

Build this set for a Freeze out STT T5 2K Starting Stack or 1K with 10 Full Rebuy & Colour-up

This Set will also double-up as a $5 minimum bet Blackjack Set

Chips storage is slowly becoming an issue, and I am anticipating another thousand chips inbound in the next 2 weeks

Been using this drawer for my chips storage, as I like to keep them away from sunlight and I am not a fan of birdcage

Storage marked 1-3 are able to hold around 2000-2400 chips each (& are currently full now) so I cleared out the top of the drawer to make a temporary storage area marked 4

0B6A6E4A-D2F7-4EA2-9852-ADA5C801E226.jpeg

Short term wise it can temporary store about 2 cash set as shown in the demonstration below which is about 1200++ chips, and I got enough space to do another storage area to the right of it

Long term plan is to add on another similar drawer cabinet when my area 4 and future area 5 is full

Initially I was planning to place a Small order of Plaques from MSK as an Add on for my Eldorado Set so the set can handle rebuy as well

Following is a simplistic design and color that I am gunning for

1662824245573.png

However, MSK had a very High Shipping cost which inflate the cost, making a order of 20 plaques will cost about $240 USD making any small order seem undesirable.

They are asking for $80+ shipping fee for weight below 1 kg from Korea to SG whereas for comparation a 10 kg shipping from China to SG cost about $35, there have to be some serious mark-up by MSK.

My second option will be via Tina but they have a MQC of 100 which I will explore it further down the route but not at the moment as I am only looking at a small order.

As an temp solution, I have turn to the these budgeted China 50 mm "Jetson" to be use as my $1000 placeholder.

I also gotten these Non Denomination Ceramic Plaques to act as $2000 placeholder, they are still on the way but I think I will prefer the latter Option at the moment
