Hello! I have a big problem geting the rail upholstery good. I get a lot of wrinkles. It seems that Llather is rather stiff and hard to get a good result with. Anyone else done the rail with real leather and have any pointers?

Regards
Eric

Holy Jesus.

Wrap the outside first and make sure it's smooth. You will need to pull the staples out and realign a fair few times. Use a heat gun too but try it on an offcut to see if it damages.

Thanks, I will try that.
Good luck. ;/ It looks like there is enough extra material here that when you pull it tight it might pull the inside too far and leave you places with no coverage. If you try this again, stretch the outside first and don't cut the inside until its perfect no wrinkles or anything.

A quick search on this forum gave me this link on how to stretch a rail. Check out the pics.
