I'm going to Vegas this next weekend. This is my first trip out there. I'm going with my Gf who doesn't play cards so will be sightseeing in the day and playing cards in the evening/night. Any recommendations for casinos/hotels with a good poker room near the strip? I don't want to spend a fortune on a room lol probably 120 a night. Thanks!

With the WSOP going on, weekend rooms might be tough to get…especially on the cheap.

But Bally’s is a good choice…it has a decent poker room and it’s centrally located to Paris, Flamingo, Caesars and Bellagio plus a few others.

Bally’s poker room is closed right now for the wsop. But the Paris convention center is hosting the WSOP cash games and they’re soft and running 24/7 (and attached to Bally’s through the hallway)

Could you please elaborate what is WSOP cash games? Any difference from "Regular" cash games?

No difference, just 20-30 tables of $1/3, $2/5. $5/10 NLHE, PLO, and some mixed games running inside the main WSOP conference room. They're playing with Paris cash chips, just like a standard casino using Caesars/wsop dealers.
