Just saw on CNN website that Wynns and MGM properties in LV are closing due to Covid 19. Caesar’s properties are closing all shows.

Sounds like the whole place could be shut down in a few days. Never thought I’d see the day that gambling in Vegas would stop, shy of an atomic bomb (and even then I expected the hardcore gamblers to keep playing)

And the NCAA tournament and other major sports. I had tickets for the ACC tournament through private parties and I can’t get my money back now. College b-ball is HUGE in NC and now they’re cancelling NASCAR races too (not a fan but it’s the last thing I’d thought they cancel for a sport).

I had friends there this weekend and they sent me this picture of the sports book on Friday night.....
Seems like they’re already “closed” :(

As a fellow Heel, the good news is that with the tournament canceled, we aren’t going to miss it! And State isn’t going to make it!

On Friday, I could book a round trip flight from Dallas to LV for $43 for the following week. I was so tempted. Glad I didn't get greedy with that as I never imagined them shutting down the casinos.

This explains the $57 round-trip Orlando-to-LV fare one of the guys at my table saw last night.

Governor just shut down all slot machines and gaming in Nevada for 30 days
