largest Collection at 2,222???? They don't know WW obviously! (1 Viewer)

"has 2,222 chips, each from a different casino" there is the catch. 2,222 different $1 chips and tokens from different casinos in the US or worldwide. I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here that could break the record no problem if it didn't have to be different casinos (only 1 chip or token from each)

That $1 part makes sense @Okku I saw this display at the convention and was definitely scratching my head. I think the previous record in the display was 1,8xx and was thinking 1,800 different casino chips. I think Brie and I can beat that pretty easily! But definitely not all $1s and from different casinos. That is definitely pretty cool!

Dibs on the Edorado Henderolson THC HS $1 and Artichoke Joe's "Peanut House" THC $1! Lmao

(T) x (M) = (GBR)

(T) Time X (M) Money = (GBR) Guinness Book Of Records Record

I think I have figured out the equation for this record for anyone else looking to beat the current number

I believe I could beat the current attempt by 2.5 times. I just did a quick analysis of my $1 singles collection and I have at least one chip from 5,500+ different casinos around the world.
Okay, let's break the story!

And this is the main point. GWRs are simply the people who bother to publicize what they have or what they can do. My collection of chips is not terribly valuable, certainly less than the cost of a new car, so I don't care who knows. Multiply the value by 5 or more, and yeah at that point my sharing becomes very selective.

Gregg Fisher first was awarded a Guinness World Record for "the largest collection of casino chips and tokens" in 2020, with a count of 818 items, breaking the previous record of 802. This year he's broken his own record and, assuming the certification is successfully completed in the coming months, it will stand at 2222 items.

“The record is based on the largest number of items over a single subject in a private personal collection,” says Fisher. “In this case, only one chip or token from a specific casino is counted."

His collection appears to be about half chips, and half gaming tokens:

The Spinetti's promo that's framed in the picture says "$1 Chips/Tokens" but the certificate from last year only says "casino chips and tokens" without specifying that they have to be $1 each.

Here's a post from chipboard with some nice pictures of the display: http://www.thechipboard.com/archive...uinness-record-book-chip-display-south-point/

Here's an audio interview by Chris Yandek from Spinetti's, talking to Gregg Fisher and @Okku, who helped with documenting the record for Guinness. They talked about last year's record attempt and what was involved:

Here's a video by @Okku showing off the display of Gregg's previous record of 818 chips:
