Hello,
I'm looking for help distinguishing old Langworthy chips from the modern version.

Most Langworthy chips I've seen have the larger indentions on the edges and it appears the modern chips have a pip in the inside groove of the chip. Is this a reliable way to identify on from the other?

Any help is appreciated.

Bottom chip differences:
To me it looks like the dashes in the groove taper in a bit going towards the center. Also the outer stripes don't run to the groove edge matching the groove radius.

I believe there is a weight difference too (if given that info), if I remember Sopranos are 10 gram and the others 7+ grams?

I think @Denali nailed it - Soprano chips have an injection-mold mark in the dotted circle, and Langworthy stripes don't follow the curve of the dotted circle - the ends are straight (chip on left, below):

Langworthy chips are a nylon-base material. Soprano chips are a bit more rubbery feeling to me.
