Have these cheap chips... Well, actually these are really decent wheatear mold nexgen like, if not better IMHO. These are solid stacking, did a demo stack of these over 110 chips high. They are composite/plastic slugged chips, weighing in at 13.5 each. They've been sitting in a closet unused except for the white chips I parced out to create some custom class souvenir chips with custom labels.

Any thoughts on these, and if so, color combos? I was leaning onwards a bicycle themed chip, or a Bucky badger themed chip (from WI after all)...

The inlay area is 1-1/8" wide, as measured by caliper.

As you can see here, the quality and consistency of these chips is actually pretty good. They stack just fine. Shown with 109 Chips without any wobble.

Did a break test, and the edge spots go all the way through, I thought for sure they were applied and cheaply done. Shows what I know (or don't)

Is that chip on the bottom right red and navy? If so I would love one of those stamped with a Boston B to use as a card protector.

The black with green edge spots are my favorite. Reminds me of Teddy KGB's chips. :) I think you could make a nice set with those.

They are a great budget chip They're still slugged plastic but they're about the best you can do in that category IMO.

Think its blue, not purple

Why not label them? You could use them as a travel set or turn some of them into show em, bounty, rebuy, or bounty chips if you play tournaments. Beter than letting em gather dust. You won't get much $$ for selling them, but you could put $$ that towards some casino Paulsons

My mock ups of labels I think might be cool with this set. Let me know your thoughts.

nice design, I would probably go with a solid text easier to read.

Ya, thought about that too.. But Badger colors are red and white.. The crisper version, these are easy to read. I do like the suggestion about fixing the text on the red chip bough.

just playing around using this graphic, you could get the red and white on the chips

Woody, you're my hero, those look awesome! Do you have a program you use? I had to use publisher and paintbrush, and cut paste a bunch... And would you be willing to share this artwork with me? How do ou think it would look with a yellow/mustard $10 chip? Thinking of having.a 10. And using he purple chips as seating bounty chips?

I have photoshop for the images and I use Adobe illustrator for the rest. If your interested I can create something for you. Everything I do is free, I am not a professional designer but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night :)

I'd move "Poker Den" a little further away from the edge. Love how these are looking!

#wiscONsin

yea, I agree about moving the "Poker Den", I just did a quick mockup this morning.

something like this? I am sure the colors are off but tried to get as close as I could with pictures posted.

Now of you look at the purple brown chip,, that's the bounty chip color. And I love the idea of an scope cross hairs over the gopher... that's awesome

Here are the chips in natural sunlight. I think using purple background for the bounty kinda washes out the gopher, who is maroon... What about the background the same color as the edge spots?

What about badger tracks as opposed to crosshairs? Just an idea, I actually really like the crosshairs! Kinda caddyshack-like.

This is how excited I am about this... Took some of the mock ups posted by woody, sized em to fit a 1" square label, printed and trimmed best I could, then bam! Check these out! I think with a better printer the colors will be deeper. Noticed a huge change for the better when switching to a better quality print setting.

Going back and forth...

Had some pretty sweet mockups with the assistance of Woody. After seeing how sweet these chips look, I'm leaning towards not selling off my greens.. I'm wondering how I could incorporate them into this set. (the chip mock ups are using cheap paper labels from a home printer, cut by hand (go easy on me).

The initial plan was to have:

200 $.25 black chips
100 $1 blue chips
100 $5 red chips
50 $10 yellow chips
50 purple bounty chips

This is the new proposed setup:

200 $.25 black chips
200 $1 white chips
100 $5 red chips
50 $10 yellow chips
50 purple bounty chips

thought on what to do with the blue chips? Or the green chips? Make them the $10? Then yellows need a job... Thoughts?

Green mockup. Not sure I'm going to use the greens.

You won't need that many quarters but from reading elsewhere I can understand your reasoning.

If it was me, I'd use the light blue for quarters, all the whites for ones, and probably the black for fives to give some contrast between each chip. 600 chips that would fit nicely in an acrylic case.

ya, some of my home games involve only quarters and ones... And maybe one $5 chip. Up to $20 total buy in. We have betting limits (at times) that make a $5 chip only good for chip reduction on the table. However, people like the deep stacks of quarters, so if I have 12 guys over, even just $4 in quarters each puts us around 200 chips. 100 quarters doesnt cut it. Black white and red ($.25/$1/$5) are the badgers' typical color combinations, so that really makes sense. Leaning towards the blue as a ten chip for flexibility.

Ah. Got it on the colors. The label design is coming along well.

Unrelated, but have you posted pics of your table build here? I like the mini tables the most.

Woody did an amazing job with helping me out to design these... And he's still tweaking the design.

The bounty and seating chip will be the same, just different on each side. Woody found all the big ten rivalrie mascots and plans to use a dif mascot for each different bounty/seating chip. That way, you draw a chip, its a gopher, you play on the gopher table. Each mascot bounty will have a crosshairs on it. We debated leaving all the bounty chips the same, so they could be laid out, but the coolness of the mascot bounties outweighs the trouble of having to draw from a bag/hat.
