Hello everyone, longtime lurker, first time poster.

Was big into poker chips about 12 years ago, invested in a nice set, and promptly got out of the chip pr0n, mainly to combat buyer's remorse. Now I feel like Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead.... the home chip market has definitely moved on...

I hope you kept that set...it's likely worth considerably more now, depending on what you bought!
Welcome back.

Welcome back.
Turns out it likely is, and I just might sell them. I'll post in "Classified" once the new smell wears off of my account.

Whatcha got? No harm letting a teaser out of the bag! And Welcome!!

OK, I just hit "10", so I can spill...

So I bought a set of 500 Pauslon Classic chips back around 2005, mainly for a cash game. Given personal finances I only bought what I needed, with the thought to buy more to turn it into a proper 1000-chip tournament set. The only thing is that real life, four moves, two states, and three kids all intervened, so poker chips wound up at the bottom of the priority purchase pile. This year, I received a nice case to hold them all in (my old case had fallen apart), and I thought, "what the hell, let's complete the set". Only that's kind of impossible now. Given my Obsessive/Compulsive nature, I'd like to see if it'd be worth selling them and using the money to trade up to a different clay set. What I didn't realize is that the bottom has fallen out of the market (literally).

For denominations, I have 200/$5, 200/$10, 50/$25, and 50/$100. Like I said, for a cash game. They've only been used three times, still have the sharp edges, and have never actually been oiled- Practically mint.

Nice set, but you bought too many 10's!
