I had grand plans for these so I hope someone here can make spectacular use of them.

I'm pretty certain this is a unique barrel, the only one that exists - at the least, I've not had any arguments over at the the "one of a kind barrel" thread. I believe the base chip to be Canary Yellow and I think the edge spots are Lilac. I don't have a color sample set to confirm.

All 20 stamps are intact; 18 of these are in mint to near mint condition, super sharp and 2 of them are dirty birdies - those two still have square edges but they are less sharp. Also - one of the chips seems to have a lighter shade of purple than the others - I don't think it's damage or fading, just looks to be a different run or different mix. Seems a bit lighter than lilac but a bit darker than hawaii flower if I had to guess. (Note: it shows up brighter and blueish in the photo below, no idea why but this is natural lighting).

Curious about the history on these: Why would a casino or card room produce only one barrel of $2.50 chips? I could see that happening with, like, a $25K cash chip, but not at the lower denoms. Unless these were produced as a test for a place that never actually opened, say... Or is the assumption that all the others were destroyed/lost/being hoarded by someone who will never let them go?

Either way... Very nice chips, GLWS.

(The dirt on a handful of these shoots down my theory about the casino never opening, so disregard that. Also note that the spot colors appear slightly different -- some more blue, some more purple -- so they must have produced more than one batch. Again, just curious about the background.)

This casino definitely opened and I'm sure there are more out there but I only know about singles.

This is the only complete barrel I've seen on PCF.
