Barry closed up shop. Ten finally ran everyone off with his pool of crazy. Keen's site continued on a steady nosedive after I split and started mine (the OG PC Potato Poker Table Plans) then morphing into BYOC then finally Perfect Mancave. (that of which I sold / got tired of being a forum admin). A few other forums and such have since closed up or moved on to be taken over by the spam bots. Seems like there's only a few that survived, or were created to fill the void. So hattip of respect to whomever is running this place. It's a labor of love.

That being said, I see a few familiar forum name/avatars and vendors. Good to see Apache still around, Chanman, Gene at ABC, HPC, SunFly, Chip Room, etc.

Been probably 10 or so years since I was really active in the poker community on a daily basis on the table, chip, forum, etc. side. Still play cards once in a while, but not a regular at a tanble or local cardroom. I like to think I help another guy make his car payment or two at the usual suspects random home games.

I was sorting out some boxes from the last move and kept shuffling over old sets of poker chips I was holding on to and figured I'd poke around to see what the market is like for them. They've been collecting dust for 10 years. Would rather avoid eBay if I had to, and the search for active poker / chip forums has drastically changed from days long ago. Maybne one day I'll getmy ass in gear, insulate the garage to host games again and pull the tables out of the raters. Michigan winters dictate otherwise without heat in a garage.

Anyways, good to see you all. I'll churn through the n00b conditions on a new forum, and hopefully find a few familar faces and perhaps a new home for a couple sets of chips.

I’ve only read part of the first sentence of your post but when is the last time you left anything for 10 years, came back and found it unaffected?

I chatted with him a couple years ago via Signal / Whatsapp or something. He was vagabond style traveling in a 5th wheel trailer down in Texas or something. Or was heading to Texas from VA. Sold his place in HI, wasn't living there anymore. Was still doing software dev but didn't have the clients he had / was surviving off of before. Weird blast from the past. Don't know if he was still trolling with Oreo or not.

Sadly, it looks like I've missed Quads here, but I still don't recognize some names. What a ride it was as on Keen's forum and continued on at PMC. I've been AWOL for a while myself and basically checked back in to see what's happening on the scene. Hell, when I came here in 2017 I connected with Moose who apparently lives around the corner from me and I was chatting about going over to check out his game, and that didn't even end up happening. Next thing ya know, it's 7 years later and I have maybe played a handful of times during that period. Oof.

Who else is kicking around here that was active from the Keen and PMC days?

Has anything interesting happened during my absence?

Hey Wedge! Been a long time....you were a Red Wings fan of I recall? I made it down to the Joe for what was supposed to be their last game there as they hosted the Canadiens. Turned out it wasn't as the had to host the Devils the next day. Lol.

I had a PMC hoodie that I got in one of the Christmas exchanges....it barely fit me then, certainly wouldn't now.

I was going through my chips yesterday and that's what brought me back. I have a PMC chip as well...do you recall what the deal was with that? It's a baby blue Chipco.

I have the same chip.

I think Quads had a set made in blue, red and green. And I think they are BRPro, not Chipcos.

That forum went downhill quick once he sold and monetized it.
