Jeevansluck's sets (1 Viewer)

Took some updated pics of my Empress set, well, it’s quite mixed, but the $5s are the star of the show and they are sharp and leaded!! I’ve used this set and it rocks. Even non-chippers appreciate the thud of the $5s. The fracs and $1s are almost imposters but they look the part and still, they are THC and feel great. I also had @Gear work his magic and make me some textured labels to put on. Set is a stunner!

And if I want, I have amazing sharp n minty PCA primary fracs to use as a .50. It’s actually an upgrade since it is the nuts with lead and a shaped and textured inlay…

Got a nice slice of Grand Victoria. Love these chips actually. Special thanks to @Mojo1312 for helping me complete my rack of $25. It was missing 5 chips and Michael was kind enough to gift me the 5 chips I needed…

I’m not sure which way to go with the fracs, I’m thinking it’s too close to the $5 with the salmon but dam, they look good. Otherwise it’s the SY $2…

I like the SY $2 much better, IMHO

indiana calls for blue chips for 25c. got anything blue? maybe jack cinci $2s? :cool

8v spot pattern is a better fit. But the colors of the secondary are a better match.

I think ultimately both are just place holders until you find the perfect fit.

I decided to finally buy some IG $25P. I just needed to see which of the two actually is the best for “my set”.

I’d appreciate any opinions on which I should keep. I’m leaning towards the secondary still…how about you?

Personally I think the primary $25 and primary $100 are a better choice for cash and the secondary $25 and $100 for tournament. Obviously very subjective.

I love the secondary $500 to the point of having a rack I'll never use. May try to sneak it into a mixed RHC casino tournament sometime.

I don’t have a thread yet where I can post up all my own sets. I have a few I’ve kept over a few years past now, and wish to share photos. I’ll slowly add better photos of each set more intimately, but for now, here are most of my sets. A couple more didn’t make this shoot…

I will have to sell all my sets just to find one set of playable TRK lol! Amazing collection my man!

Just an overwhelming response. Thanks guys! So many great points. Actually made it tougher.

@TheDuke , I’m gonna take your advice and hold these. I’ve got one more chip I’m gonna try in there.

I’ll keep em all! I’ve sure lost my mind a little, over these IGs. Got addicted to them!

I can see your point. I do also have a rack of the $100P. I have pics with them in there. I can agree they are better, however, on some level. Not entirely convinced. The sec hundos are so awesome.

Ahhhh hell! This is a mess. At least I’ve got all the chips I need. I don’t have the $500s but maybe if you need some Tiger funds replaced, you can send me a quote. (Yes, I’m soliciting you for chips)

I’m a bit perplexed here. Didn’t read people’s reasoning or such, but keep seeing “it’s a hard decision”.

Ummmm….okay. The colors literally don’t work on the secondary $25s. They are a completely different hue than any other chip there. Even the secondary hundos with their bright spots have a “deeper” more saturated spot. The secondary $25s stick out like a sore thumb.

Spot design - this set is a POWERHOUSE. You’re going from claw $5s to flower power $100s and in the middle you can have….8Vs!? That’s amazing. Or, you can have the random secondaries that again don’t fit. Number of spots/position/color/etc. the 8V wins in every department.

I get it, it’s subjective. But ummmm…no, no it’s not. There’s a right and wrong answer, sorry. It’s 8V.

sorry bud. You are dead wrong in my opinion.

There are no rules and if there are, you aren’t a marshal. Not one I recognize.

I don’t need to be berated over it. This post was harsh and totally unnecessary and unhelpful.

I picked you out of a group of people with different opinions and berated you? Lol it was a post picking one of the chips and claiming it to be superior. Kinda what 1/4 of non classifieds are here, stumping for certain sets and such. Voting on lineups, best customs, etc.

I thought taking the time to explain my thought process on liking one over the other aesthetically was helpful and the point of the thread.

Intent wasn't to insult any specific person. I'll see myself out!

stop upsetting people @BarrieJ3 . :ROFLMAO:

@Jeevansluck to be fair to Jeff, he was just expressing his opinion like you requested. As he owns both a primary and a secondary set, its natural he would have a strong opinion and if anything he is being more helpful than the rest of us as he gave a definitive answer. :p

Tone isnt always the easiest thing to convey over text but I never interpreted @BarrieJ3s tone as berating or harsh. When in doubt I always choose to "assume positive intent" and always seek further clarification before jumping to a conclusion.

Judging online personas can always be a challenge but based on my read of you 2 "crazies", my read is that you two would be BFFs at a meetup.
