I've been in touch with Sun-Fly, and I think they offer what I need in a 6-player roulette set for a relatively good price. With their POLYSPECTRA chips, they don't do an inlay, and printing is limited to black (think of it as a black hot stamp). So I've been playing around with some art and online image vectorizor and made some mockups. Colours are approximate. There will be no "white" portion on the final product, just black on colour. Mold design will be 8 diamonds, because Diamonds Are Forever, right? Opinions welcome.

Love everything about them except for roger Moore’s ugly mug. Can’t stand that guy as bond, he just looks too awkward and unathletic.

Stick a picture of yourself as James Bond instead of him.

Very good idea! Nice job so far!
To keep it consistent, I would either choose all pictures with or without the gun.

Awww... But Moore had the best gadgets. Fleming actually said Moore was closer to the book Bond than Connery.

Myself I really like these. I think the version with the photos is much more fun. BUT, I really worry they will not look like you hope when black on color instead of black on white. I suggest you take them into photoshop and mockup the black line photos on the colors.

use the 73 pic of Moore, and I don't like Night on the title, but love the spiral rifle look

Whoops, I see I accidentally doubled-up on the renders of one side. Screwed that up somewhere.

I can't stick a picture of myself on the chip instead of Sir Roger. I have no hair. You wouldn't know where the chip ended and my head began.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to see if I can get a reasonable "holding a gun" picture of each of them. Might have to do some creative cutting and pasting. I'm trying to teach myself how to use GIMP, and sometimes the photos I choose don't tweak well. At least I've got some time to work on it. Have to get the head sizes right, since they should look proportional between chips.

Good suggestion on changing the background colour to approximate the base chip colour. I'm going to use the lightest colours I can to maximize the contrast with the black vectorized images.

Unfortunately "Night" on the chips is a must. I use these for my charity events, and they always say "James Bond Casino Night" on them, same as my felt, and same as my other ceramic chips. It highlights the event, rather than the location.

Stay tuned, I'll have more news as I progress!

Here's something with the approximate colours. I think the Sun-Fly colours are a bit lighter/less intense than the ones shown here from the graphics program.

Next I'm going to work on some images where each actor is posing with a gun, and see if it looks better.

It seems there is a little space left over to print some text. Should I do the last name of each actor curved near the false edge?

Looking good. I wouldn't put the names on myself. It's cleaner and it gives the players something to debate.

I re-mocked the "inlay" with the actors, this time all of them with guns. I had to cheat by pasting in part of other pictures of the same actors holding guns, because I couldn't find the right photo with the right lighting and the right background in order to do a good threshold modification and vectorization. Anyway, here it is.

Cool. Although Craig seems a bit out of place without a bowtie.

You can't really tell from the photo, but Lazenby isn't wearing a bow, either. He's wearing an extremely frilly cravat.
Craig's Bond isn't much of the bowtie type, either. He's also got the heaviest weapon (HK rifle, I believe)
Moore is the only Bond I know that has ever posed with a revolver.

Hmm. I just noticed that almost everybody has a gun to the right of their head. I might have to mirror-image Lazenby and Craig to have their guns on the other side.

I've been playing around with some graphics for a custom roulette table that I've got about a 2-year plan on, and I thought I might post them here.
We can even turn it into a game. Can you tell which Bond movie actor/character these graphics represent? Some of them are flat out easy, and some are a bit harder because the render makes them a bit more ambiguous. I'll post a new set every few days so you can see the progress.

Here we are with set 1:

So many to choose from! Great work, you're going to have some tough choices for which ones to use.

Ah, but these ones are the roulette TABLE  (and I'll need 36 of them, one for each number); the 0 and 00 will have their own symbol art (currently classified TOP SECRET)
The 6 Bonds with guns from Post #10 are most likely going to be the ones on the chips themselves.

That sounds incredible. What a cool project, sounds like such fun to compose. Best of luck on your journey to make it a reality! Will you be able to have custom art on the wheel itself? Thinking about it now I've never seen anything truly unique about a roulette wheel.
