Jackpot Casino (1 Viewer)

There's at least one other thread about these around here. Apparently they are listed on CL all over the US. Seller is optimistic if they are expecting to get that price IMO.

Ya, 493 chips for $2800?

They're old school, probably leaded chips. I have no idea the specific details on what these chips are or are worth, but I ain't paying $5.70/chip

Na uh...

there are more than a few sets from that era that would get such a price, but i have no idea whether the Jackpots qualify. David P would be the one to ask as he had a nice set of these or did at one time.

Hard to fall in love with a chip (and it must be love to fetch that price), when I cannot confirm the authenticity of the actual casino.

The address of 2410 S Las Vegas Blvd is what strikes me as curious.

2440 was the Big Wheel Casino (now the Bonanza Gift shop at the NW corner of LVB and Sahara). The Las Vegas numbering system reduces numbers by 100 when crossing a street, and the next closest address to the north of the Big Wheel/Bonanza would be 2310 (now a tattoo parlor).

I accept that there may have been a change in numbering since the 70's (though unlikely), or maybe there is something else I'm missing. But until I can verify the existence of this address through another source, I cannot confirm that the casino actually existed.

Confirmation: I got married at the Jackpot Casino in 1974. Afterwards, we went to the shop next door to get matching wedding ring tattoos.

Nah, not really. But I did see a casino wedding and tattoo wedding bands on TV once.
