Hi everyone.

Once I've chosen the chips for my future cash set, I'm looking for the best labels for them.

I've made two mockups, for Jacks and Paris.

I am not a fan of the JACK relabel. Not exactly a classic casino or classic theme. Go Paris, or come up with something more personal to you.

Yes, It's possible I'll try with some semi-custom label. But Jack and Paris are two different concepts and I want to know your opinion.
In addition, use Jack label save me to re-label 200 chips , ha ha.

What about a Barcelona theme? La Sagrada Familia? There's no real landmarks down by the casino on the seafront that I can remember?

I agree. This trend of re-labeling chips to match existing casinos or big chiproom release defunct casinos is a headscratcher to me.

Seriously though, I do agree with you for the most part. For sets that are based around one (or more) orignal chips, and the relabeled chips are used to make matching chips to make the whole set more coherent, then I think its ok. I prefer this to having a mixed set with all random original inlays. When making my set, I was considering murdering the PCA $25s as well, but decided against it as I prefer the original feel of the shaped inlay, and I also do think the label is visually apealing (even though the casino name it self mean nothing to me).

For sets where there is no specific chip that is the "starting point", I would much rather make a custom label as well. Or if I were to make it a tribute set, I would go for an old casino or something more interesting than just a black denom with JACK on it.

Yes, that's an option. I have to think about it because it's a lot of work and I need my personal designer (my daughter), that right now is very busy with her exams in high school haha

Zero experience, I don't know how to use GIMP, my daughter with her exams, haha, a lot of excuses

Finally, I'll think about this option, I have a few ideas, some are very silly and others deeply serious, that's the first decision...

Jack inlay is just straight shit if you ask me. Lol the denoms are hardly readable, and even colored as to the base chip color don’t make any fucking sense.
So yeah Paris all the way lol
