Hello, fellow chippers! These chips really need no introduction, but for those who are newer chippers who may not have heard the story, here it is in brief.

Once upon a time, there was a casino in Detroit named Jack. Jack was about to receive a brand spanking new set of GPI chips, which were all made and ready to deliver, both primary and secondary sets. But Jack was about to get a new owner, and the owner wanted to change his name. That meant that the GPI chips that were already made that had Jack's name on it were no longer wanted, and not going to be used. This made the chips very sad. Then, one day, an unnamed fellow acquired all the chippies and let them loose into the grateful hands of many ravenous collectors and addicts, and the pristine chips were finally happy to be admired and fought over for months and years to come. The End. (Though not quite)

For your consideration, we have this lot for auction:

P1110669.JPG

400-chip Jack Detroit Primary chips set up as a 10-player, T25-base, T10K freeze-out Tournament set. The chips have been lightly handled but not played by me. As far as I am aware, they have not been put in play by anyone at the time of my acquiring them. They have not been cleaned nor oiled. They are essentially in the same condition as I acquired them.

The breakdown is as follows:
125x $25
125x $100
80x $500
60x $1000
BONUS: 10x Orleans LV $1 metallic silver base Boyd house mold, modify or use as is for a Bounty chip
FURTHER BONUS: I will include up to 4 racks (Matsui) that will fit both 39mm and 43mm chips, if the auction winner wants

This gives 10 starting stacks of 12/12/5/6. There are 5 extra each of $25 and $100 to cover damage/losses, and 30 extra $500 to colour up all the $25 and $100.
Expandable: just choose your own T5K chips to add for top-ups and rebuys.

The starting bid is $2000 (I'm not sure why I can't enter in this value), which is well below what I have calculated/estimated to be the current market value. This is a good opportunity for some lucky chipper to acquire an entirely playable set without any fuss or muss. All the work to acquire them has been done. And if you must ask, no, I didn't acquire these chips in the original sale.

Why am I selling? I'm completely tapped out. I need some funds to finish my custom Casino Royale set, as well as my roulette relabel set, and my PP account is officially broke.

Payment will be in US dollars by PayPal, preferably Friends/Family. PPGS will be accepted with an estimated 3-5% surcharge to cover fees.
Shipping will be done by Canada Post (Expedited/Tracked) to anywhere in the world they will deliver at actual cost. Pickup is available if the auction winner happens to be local.

Feel free to ask any questions in the thread. Good luck to all who are interested!

Please keep me in mind if you are starting to sell off $5k Jack chips!
I suppose if totally lose my marbles, it could happen.

I have received a few messages regarding the status of the Jack's and individual racks of 43mm chips etc. It is very unlikely I sell another set in the short term. (8 months) NO THC and NO TRK of will be sold. Bottom line. So that does leave the Jack's out there. But they are safe for this year.

I also appreciate all the messages of goodwill and check up on my well being. Very nice indeed. Thanks, but all is well. Really just a move to downsize and out a few bucks to blow on non chip related endeavors.

Definitely thought there would be more action on this. Quite surprised, especially with how crazy barrels and racks of 500’s and 1K’s were getting.
I wanted to be involved. Really did. Wifey stopped me cold in my tracks. No chance. I've got good friends helping me too. Need to stop with the Jack's.

I think by definition the market value came in at $2k, no?
I would argue the prices of $100P and up have been quite unstable at best, last 6 months.

As well, $500P sold for as high as $11/chip, and never really less than $9.

$1000P last rack, was sold in a thread with an advertised price of $2000. Even the $25P and $100P are hard to find and I saw $100P barrels sell for $75.

$2k was the absolute minimum I would accept for this set. I was not kidding when I said the starting price was substantially lower than current market value. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have sold these for the price listed, and I'm happy that @JoeyMack got a fine deal, one of the best deals I've seen in a long time. I'm surprised as anyone that there was not more actual interest. I predict that an equivalent set will never sell publicly for this low a price again.

I was interested. Just poor timing for my part.

Anything over $5-6 just seems silly for those $500s. I'm baffled how they got so high.

I re-ran my math - yes, great deal, great catch!

I have to agree with ya. My counts stopped growing when it got last $7.

I was late to the game. Start date to PCF was Mar.19. didn't even know what a Paulson was before buying my first rack if Jack's.
