Jack Detroit felt layers - first build question (1 Viewer)

First time builder.

There appears to be two layers on this felt. They might be bonded together, I haven't really pulled on them.
However one corner is separating and it begs the question if it is meant to be removed and discarded.

This is a question you should be asking the company you bought it from. My GUESS is that the "second" layer is a backing meant to prevent stretch and deformation of the design as it is mounted to the table surface.
