Hey guys, anyone out there looking to make a label for a tournament bounty chip. I’ve got some Jack Detroit snappers coming that I want to label over as a bounty. I have no experience designing anything and need some help matching a label with the rest of the set. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Wait, can I get on this list? You know, if there was hypothetically a snapper into quarter label coming? :)

Was thinking that for the upcoming tournament chips also if I could get any...

Thanks Berny! Indeed, the rumours are true, I'm working on JACK labels, should be ready to go soon. @Altheman003, I've added you to my 'interest list' and will make sure I notify you when the time comes.
interested in a bounty label/other jack labels as well thanks (and the LCOs :))

I'm curious what people will do about Gear's inability to use CASINO on the chips. I was wondering if it may look best to just not have anything in that spot or if CARD ROOM done small enough will not be too noticeable when using them with other chips.

Some type clues:

• It’s a sans-serif bold font;

• It’s lightly rounded;

• The hook of the “J” does not descend below the baseline and does not curve upward;

• The “C” is closed, which is relatively unusual;

• The “A” is almost triangular, not rounded or with a broad flat-top;

• The arms of the “K” are straight and meet at a vertice;

• The stroke of the “$” does not pass through the form;

• The downstroke of the “5” is clipped.

It’s not dissimilar to popular fonts like Trade Gothic and DIN Round, but some of the elements of the above clearly do not match.

On closer inspection, I also think the font of JACK and $5,000 are different from the rest. For example, the “C”s are not shaped at all the same.

The $5,000 looks like either a non-softened variant within the same font family, or a different typeface entirely.

ASAP Condensed (a free Google font) is pretty close to what is used for JACK except that the “C” isn’t as closed.

Gineso Soft (a paid font) is also close but not quite right either.

Having (insanely) just looked at million similar typefaces, it’s rare to find a J and a K with those forms within the same font. This might be customized, I suppose. If I had to approximate it, I’d probably use ASAP Condensed and alter the J to match.

The other typeface may be something more common, akin to News or Trade gothic or Gotham.

Just realized I don’t need the letterforms to be perfect matches... If I switch the letters! :sneaky: (Note: used Steppenwolf’s pic of a Sunset Beach 43mm chip I’m planning to relabel.)
