Think I’m onto something if you like the purple. Throw in some racks of solid purples for $5s and got a pretty interesting custom cash set…(Milled chips are not mine)…
Was inspired by the others who over labeled the jack detroit $25 as a frac… which allowed me to incorporate a a non standard $20 into this set using chips I already had. Might use the either of the jack cinci $500 as a $500 to complete.
Ultimately this is going to be my problem trying to finish the set with purple $5s. Can’t afford to use $500 purps. I need 4 racks…so my only thinking is from a tourney set or solids?

Yea, I have to agree with upNdown on this one. That isn't going to look right to stick a solid in the middle of a bunch of spotted chips. Stick with either all solids or just only solids at the lower end of the range. That is what is most common amongst Casino's and Card Rooms. Sometimes they do all sorts of strange things with the inserts/edge spots etc, but it is generally accepted that it looks better if there is some sort of continuity throughout the chip denominations or a progression across the denominations. For example going from less to more complex is pretty common and generally thought of as well thought out and looking good. @chrismurda set looks good even though it is sort of a reverse standard progression. It looks good because it is not just random. There is a progression and there is a bluish/purple color in each chip.
Sounds like I should abandon this idea. No idea how I will find enough purple spotted chips to fill a $5 chip...Need 4 racks, and can't afford 4 racks of $500 to finish this off.

Don’t forget this is YOUR set, so do what you you are comfortable with. Secondly, I’d suggest that you stay patient, you’d be surprised at some of the deals you may come across if you just hang in there.
