What’s the popular (or not so popular) take on solid fracs in a set that otherwise has spots? I’ve seen a lot of people suggest or commit to really bright options, and I do like that in many cases. Most of the time probably.

On the other hand, I’ve looked at adding a frac to my JACK Cincy set (thanks again @RivieraDanny), and I just can’t get there with a day-glo or other bright options. To my eye, it’s a ready dark set without a ton of pop, especially in the primary chips.

Looking for opinions on a possible solution, and this kinda fell in my lap while working on another project. What do you think about this lineup?

Am I crazy in thinking this may work well together? The $100 has almost this same color as a spot, and I really like the circular color logic that would create with a brown frac.

I know as it stands, it would be a smaller label on a THC than on the RHC. Has anyone used this color for a frac in the
Is set, or even mixed in a THC as a frac? Does it work? Is it awkward? Is it tilty?

I’m about a half step away from having @Josh Kifer mill up 200+ of these and get rolling with it, so stop me now if I’m way too far out on the cliff!

TIA everyone!

Personally I'm not a fan of that brown...doesn't really line up with the brown on the hundo and there's nothing else in the set that compliments. For solid fracs, my choice would be one of the 36mm tourney chips...possibly yellow to go with the $5 edge spots.

Or, if you're willing to go spotted THC I think the Boulder Station $1's are great if you're not planning on using the Jack Cinci $2's in your set...they're the exact same color. Makes Gear labels super easy, just change the denom on the $2 label.

Or, if you prefer RHC maybe the Sycuan $1's?

The blue
Both are good

They don’t have to always be part of a “set”. If you made them quarters then you could just use them anytime you needed quarters, no matter what other chips you were using.
Your players won’t care at all as long as they don’t make for dirty stacks.

I use the blue flamingos I got from casinochipper22 as $1’s as I have no use for fracs on my craps table, but they would be a nice addition because of the color. I personally don’t mind the whole mixing RHC and THC chips thing, but that’s just me. I wanted solid blues, and these Flamingos are amazing.

I really like your first two options, especially the Boulder Station. Really understated blue, and those edge spots would match up with the rest of the set.

Thinking hard about those Boulder Station $1!
I've had those chips for almost a month now. And they actually just sold earlier today. I have some extras. I can send you a couple of them if you want to check them out. And if you decide you want a rack or two, I can always go back and hopefully harvest some more.

TBH my players probably wouldn’t care if dice chips came back from the depths of hell, so you’re right there. I, on the other hand, like everything matchy matchy. So this is 100% self inflicted.
