Found this description in a sales thread where the poster describes how they 'polished' their chips.

Wieman's high traffic hardwood polish because of it's penetrating, scratch filling, and durable nature, and then an additional layer of Krylon flat for even more durability, to restore grab, and to knock-back the shine.

Not sure if he was actually serious or just joking.

I've never heard of putting floor polish on chips before? And then a layer of acrylic sealer?

Is this a new technique people are using.

Is mineral oil now passé?
