I'm considering adding a 25k plaque to my set because why not.

Need some help on what to make it though.

Some thoughts I had. Either an Iron Bank one like the DB and cut cards or a Golden Company one (army for hire made up of exiled people from westeros)

Any other ideas???

Something related to the Knights watch/ the wall maybe? Or the house of black and white? The iron bank obviously would work.

Got house of black and white.

Nights watch is just black. Front runner is iron bank followed very closely by Golden company.

Need @Ben expert helpHere too

Golden Company/House Blackfyre for sure. The sigil of House Blackfyre is identical to House Targaryen, but inverted (black dragon on red field.) That mixed with gold could be epic.

But, I'm not really a plaque guy myself, which is why I haven't looked in on this yet. Buy moar chipes. :)

Extreme book / ASOIAF nerdiness spoiler:

Daemon Blackfyre was a bastard brother to King Daeron, though the son of King Aegon IV and one of his Targaryen sisters (to whom he was not married) and many said that Aegon was NOT, in fact, Daeron's father and thus Daemon should have been the rightful heir. Certainly it didn't hurt that Daemon was very strong and heroic while Daeron was seen as sickly and weak. Daemon and his descendants made several attempts to usurp the Iron Throne over several generations. After an unsuccessful attempt, Daemon was exiled to Essos and he and his closest friend/supporter Bittersteel (aka Aegor Rivers, another half-brother to both he and Bloodraven) founded the Golden Company. There is strong speculation that young "Aegon" as seen in A Dance with Dragons is not in fact Aegon, but another Blackfyre descendant. This stuff has been basically a footnote in the books up to this point, but I suspect may become VERY important in the near future.

I was thinking Blackfyre but the golden company sigil is pretty cool too.

More nerd stuff the golden company was formed by Aegor Rivers (another Targaryen bastard) after the Blackfyre rebellion.

I'm leaning towards Iron Bank, as it's the seat of financial power, so would make sense to have as the largest denom?

Not fully up to date with the books, however, so not sure if that changes later in the series!

Books are at the same point as the show.

The Golden Company won't mean much to show watches as it's not really mentioned much. But it plays a bigger part in the books.

At first I was set for an Iron Bank plaque. But I'm starting to think that as all the denoms represent houses etc. it may be better to have the plaque as something new while keeping the accessories Iron Bank themed. And at this point I have all the major houses from the story covered really.

I'll guess I'll wait to see what J5 can do before making a final decision.

I like the map idea, but Westeros proper is tall and skinny, which doesn't fit typical plaque orientation well. You could fix it by adding a good chunk of Essos as well. Center the denom on the Narrow Sea.

I think there would be little issue with the orientation of the plaque, as most American players have never used one.

I think a determining factor is the producer of the plaques.

Are you going with acrylic from Matsui or Ceramic from GOCC/OWPS/Everyone else?

The look of the plaque is going to really be determined by the type of plaque, which would probably help everyone decide what design would best fit.

Honestly, the only design that really makes sense is the Iron Bank considering it's prosperity during the popular times of ASOIAF.

It really does help you that they have a really sick symbol of the iron bank which you can easily incorporate into a plaque (offset, not centered for a cool design effect), with the denomination incorporated in the opposite space.

I was thinking something similar today also after looking at different plaque designs.

I saw this one and liked the placement of the tower

If you make a GB out of this, I'll buy a few to help out and make this dream a reality.

Luckily the manufacture has no minimums :) but I will offer samples for anyone interested.

I will be trying to keep the order under 100 plaques as they charge a handling fee and it jumps up at 100+

Meh. I can't go with MSK until I see the plaque. I've seen some pretty crappy acrylics in my day.

What did amaze me, is the no minimums however. That's pretty rad.
