Has anyone put more info on the dashboard rather than the message to save on Twilio messaging costs?
You also need to watch out for the apostrophe .. it breaks it too .. Like O'DonnellBeware the period!
Names ending with a period example Jim Q. were not able to update their status because the messaging app was interpreting the period as the end of a sentence and not making it part of the link.
So it would show Jim Q Action:In on webactivity tab but wouldn't actually change guest status. Because Jim Q is not on the guest list. Jim Q. is!
Ha!
That is correct. You need an iOS device with a cell planI just came to say F*ck Twilio. Getting error 30007s again after changing the message. It's a mess! Customer service is very nice but jeez Louise!
Makes me want to buy an iPhone just to use the Siri shortcut.
There is no way to do it with an iPad and Wifi right? The shortcut needs to be tied to a cell number somehow?
It does not.does this ap keep track of buyins? I am looking for a solution to make sure buyins are handled correctly so I don't get shorted at the end of the night.
thanks for the reply. That might be a nice feature to addIt does not.
I use a separate sheet to keep track of buy-ins and cash outs. It's pretty easy to set up in excel or numbers.thanks for the reply. That might be a nice feature to add
yes, I will make up a sheet in excel today and print it out and manually keep trackI use a separate sheet to keep track of buy-ins and cash outs. It's pretty easy to set up in excel or numbers.
Sure. Just delete the row.Hello,
Is there a possibility to remove a guest ?
Or should we just make it inactive ?
I prefered to ask as if I try to delete a row, there was a warning message.Sure. Just delete the row.
I should fix that.I prefered to ask as if I try to delete a row, there was a warning message.
I love your app, but I am quickly out growing it due to the number of people on my list and the limitations with Google/Gmail with scripting and time-outs.I should fix that.
There is so much i would like to do with this app but those darn orher hobbies keep getting in the way.
Hmm that’s a new one. Let me think on it. Are you on android or iPhone?I've been putting off implementing this for far too long, going to give it a try this month. I think I've got it mostly setup correctly, but I have what's likely a very basic question:
I tried setting up the guest tab accordingly (ie, input some guests with only the email, others with just the cell phone #) and this doesn't appear to work, when I use the Send Type of "Both" when sending out the message via the MsgSend tab, I get a failure indicating invalid email: @ for the "blank" entries:
- I have some folks that are fine with getting the message via email & text
- I have some folks who would prefer to get the message ONLY via email
- I have some folks who would prefer to get the message ONLY via text

Am I missing something here or is this functioning as expected? Any workarounds? I was thinking I could potentially use the A/B lists to organize guests by email/text and send out two sets of messages, one just emails and another just texts.
That's exactly what I had in mind as a potential work around. As a workaround, maybe encode the email + SMS for everyone and put the email players in group A, the phone ones in B and in tab SendMsg first send to the group A via email only then to the group B only via text.
You can also have players wanting both in C and send both email and text to them in SendMsg.
I've not tried this myself but it might cover your case.
Hahaha, this many years later you thought you had thought of everything, right? I'm doing everything via PC at the moment, but my smartphone is an android (ie I don't have access to the iOs app you created).Hmm that’s a new one. Let me think on it. Are you on android or iPhone?
It seemed to go either way - I have emails for everyone, just not phone numbers. When using the "both" option without a phone number, it wouldn't send an email either. It only sent the message if I had both enteredI put my email in for those that want text only. You need an email or you get that error.
Are you using twilio? That's exactly what I had in mind as a potential work around.

Nope, didn't get that far yet.Are you using twilio?
It took a little bit to get it setup and working, but I love using it. It costs me about $30/year, but I have 75+ invites that go out each month.Nope, didn't get that far yet.
