Hello all,
I discovered the forum while looking up poker table design ideas (needed something to do in quarantine when I couldn't play) and found the threads on re-felting Barrington tables and custom felts. Ended up re-doing my table with a custom cloth (details here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/barrington-poker-table-thread.30910/post-1149613).
I play in a regular weekly cash game/league (typically $1-2), with about a half dozen tournaments a year. After spending some time on the forum I've realized that my chips could definitely stand to be upgraded (have some sluggers now, but most of our games still use dice chips) and have been fascinated by all the information here. Would love to have 'casino quality' chips, even if no one else in my game will appreciate it. At some point will be ordering samples, with a goal to have a nice cash set that can accommodate about 20 players at $1/2 (and maybe slightly larger if we ever increase the stakes).
For better or worse probably won't be a cash game in a little while, so plan to take my time and not rush into anything.
So far been having a lot of fun absorbing all the info here - so thanks for that.
