Hey guys! So, instead of trying to get the Four Suits mold made in such an open-ended capacity (poker pun?), I decided to go ahead and mock-up an actual set of WSOP non-hold 'em tribute chips!

I switched out the T25k and the T100K to the new chips made in 2015. However, for those who would rather keep the older versions, I would be more than happy to mock those up as well. I would also very much like to make 43mm versions of the T500k and the T1M 8v chip, but I will have to speak with Sun-Fly to see how that would work.

The name "World Championship of Poker" is kind of a placeholder for the moment, so if you have any good ideas for the name, please let me know!

I'd love to know if you guys are interested in these. I think the Four Suits mold goes well with them, and it'd be really cool to see another WSOP tribute set come out, especially with the new colors, in my opinion.

EDIT: A few people had told me that they would be more interested in the non-hold 'em, 818 chips, so I went ahead and mocked those up. I would still like to do the T500k and T1M 8v chips as well. If you like these more, please chime in. Thanks guys.

SECOND EDIT: I added the high denomination 8v chips as 39mm chips, but I think it would be really cool to have them made as 43mm chips. I would just have to speak with Sun-Fly to see how that would work. They would most likely have to be done without the mold if they can even be made on the Polyclay line in a larger size.

I would love to see this mold happen, and I'm trying to put it on chips to appeal to a lot of members. I wouldn't make any money if this mold does get made as Sun-Fly would own it and I honestly don't mind that. My goal is to bring something new to the hobby that hopefully people like.

If you haven't handled Polyclay samples, I believe that they are far closer to clay chips regarding feel and sound than ceramics or hybrids.

I would love to hear what you think. Pros, cons, and everything in between.

Thanks guys.

Those new ones are not part of the Main Event chip lineup and see limited use at the WSOP... I'm too lazy to look them up but I only recall seeing them in the Millionaire Maker event. Not that it's a problem but if it's the Main Event chips you're referencing then those two aren't applicable. There's also another T500K they use in the MM event:

And a shameless plug of my CPC tributes of those chips last summer:

Change the name to "Four Suits Poker", change the denom font to bolder type of Futura, and also the 818 series of chips as well.

These look great! Do you happen to know what font is being used for the denomination on your chips?

They look great. I’m not in on this one, as I have a load of the CPS chips already.

I don't much about nothing, but I've often wondered if on clay "tribute" chips if it would look good to have a few different shapes of edge spots for each chip - to try to capture the variation in how the spots look in real life.

@Quicksilver-75 did some great work in that regard for his Silver Club hybrids.

Unfortunately no. As much as I want to support this endeavor, buying these will delay my inevitable purchase of a clay set. That and I already have a nice ceramic set that I don't want to sell.

a couple of things

8a18 for the win.
Most important the colors have to POP. have a look at the WSOP chips. then compare them to the mockups. the mockups are flat in the color department.

there's a lot of cps chips floating around cheap. if you re do those chips its probably going to be a flop. but you cant get the bcc 8a18s for love or money.

I will revisit the colors and make sure they are as close to the original chips as possible.

New mock-up in OP. Tweaked the colors a bit, fixed the gradient in the title, and changed the size of the commas to better match the original WSOP version of these chips. Thanks for the suggestion about the colors, @CHP TD.

Have you shown this latest design to Sun-Fly? It is my understanding that they will not be willing to produce it due to copyright infringement.

I'm not even sure what material you're talking about here. You've mentioned china clay, ceramic hybrid, and other materials too. If you don't mind a little constructive criticism, @MoscowRadio , you're kind of all over the place with multiple post and it's tough to figure out exactly what you're trying to do.

I had posted about the mold being made on China clays because it seemed like interest was low for the Polyclays which is ultimately what I’m trying to have these made on like the Lucid Diamonds or the Ravenors.

The Polyclay line is what I’m really shooting for as I think it’d be the best option of the three.

I haven’t. I though with enough tweaking to the logo on the label that they might consider it. That’s why I was hoping people would chime in with some ideas other than “World Championship of Poker”.

If CPS is willing to produce a chip like this, albeit on 618 spots, then I would be surprised if Sun-Fly said “no”. However, I will still contact them about it of course.

@BGinGA, another possibility would be to have the chips made as blanks for the GB and then have the labels done elsewhere.
FWIW, Sun-Fly has already refused to produce blanks that matched another casino's chip spot pattern and colors. Just say'in. You need to get clarification, otherwise you're just wasting everybody's time with these.
