Hey all. Looking for feedback on this set I just completed (thanks for @Sparty and @davin for the awesome chips). Will definitely relabel. Two areas I am seeking feedback on are:

1) Relabel options - either do a custom label for all chips (thinking a Steelers and/or Pittsburgh sports theme) or just the 50c and $1 chips as Casino Cancun
2) Color & spot progression - I have my own thoughts here, but also interested to hear how people feel about how these colors go together and the spot progression of each.

Thanks everyone!

Greg

My vote is for casino Cancun relabels

I don’t think the brown spot on the $1 works well for this set. It sticks out like a sore thumb against the bright, pastel like spot colors of the other chips. What about these:

I think there’s some for sale in the classifieds

I think the set looks fine together. Heck, the Cancun looks like almost an identical match to a Terrible’s $5. What about relabeling the Cancuns to make a Terrible’s set?

I 'd leave them as they are. They go well with each other and it's the most economical option.
If your OCD dictates otherwise, be brave to bear the cost of the disease and relabel them all to something totally different.:)

Appreciate the input everyone. I am going to leave them as-is for now and think on it some more. One thing is certain is that I will relabel the fracs to quarters, but other than that I am still thinking on it. Will def post some pron when finished though!

What's with the steelers tho !!!!

Go with .50/.50 blinds. All the cool kids are doing it. ;)

I wouldn't relabel. The inlays you have go well together and aren't ugly or anything. A casino mixed set is cool because you can see the origin of the chips.

Just out of curiosity now that most of this set is sold, what made you give up? I am thinking about going down the same rabbit hole so any advice you have would be appreciated. I love the cancun 5s and the terribles fracs make perfect sense. I'd probably use the cinci secondary mint 100s as a 20 and relabel everything. Not totally sold on a mint easily available 1 that's better than the terribles, but I haven't looked for one that much.

Only reason I sold my set is because I found a deal on another set I preferred, and needed to free up cash. I will definitely post some pron when the chips arrive. With that said, I love all of the chips that I had as part of this set, and really like the Terribles with the Casino Cancun’s. Happy to provide any help/advice you need.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the same problem I have lol chip ADHD. I'd probably move on before even picking a label but I might still try. I've been like this with most hobbies though. Constantly buying/selling/trading to mess with everything out there. I'd love to just settle on a super sweet set and hold on to it, but my brain won't let me.

My issue is I don’t like selling or trading what I have......
I buy them for a reason and don’t forget what I liked about them.
And you never know when you may need them again
