Just throwing this out here to see if anyone has an inexpensive small tourney set they're not using and would want to sell, china clay or cheaper per chip cost, with printed denominations that meets the minimum quantities criteria below. Or if someone has a tourney set that's too large for your use, and want to pare it down to sell off some chips. Something like NexGen pros, Nile Club ceramic, or Pharoah's china clay, but I'm open to other chips as well.

Absolute minimum quantities of denoms are:
40 T-25; 100 T-100; 40 T-500 (I know that's only 180 chips, but the other 20 chips could be any denom, even T-1000)

Depending on the set & price, I'd be ok with a set up to 400 chips, with a breakdown something like:
120 T-25; 120 T-100; 60 T-500; 80 T-1000; 20 T-5000 or something similar

Back story: There's a game I play in that does a T1000 turbo tournament with rebuys before playing the cash game. They used to use the same $25 denom chip for both the tourney and cash, and that drove me crazy so I loaned them a tourney set I had of 300 chips to use, and that's worked out well. But it wasn't meant to be a permanent loan, and I offered to sell them at my cost, but the host isn't keen on paying anywhere close to $1 a chip for any set. [And the chips I loaned are chips another member here was looking for more of at some point.] (I've also accepted that this host is just not into chips like the rest of us.) So I'm looking for an inexpensive set -- just some chips that are different than the shiny label plastic chips with white spots that they use in the cash game.

So please post or PM any sets you may have that might just be sitting on your shelves and not getting any use, and asking price.

These Monaco Casino sluggers from discountpokershop.com are 12¢/chip, and are actually pretty decent. I’d easily pick them over NexGens and Majestics. They’re not nearly as slippery as either, and feel pretty good. I’m actually thinking about picking up a set myself for tourneys.

He could do something like 150/150/100/150/50 for about $100 with case, and have enough for 18 players if needed.

I have a set of Outlaws that's just collecting dust:
200x $25
100x $100
50x $500
100x $1000
50x $5000

Some of the 50x $10k chips pictured have had the labels removed but I'll thrown them in also.

You can have the lot for $63 shipped MFRB ($50 for the chips, $13 shipping).

@Darson, have you had the chance to compare the Outlaws to other slugged chips—Poker Knights/Showdowns, Mint, Monaco, Casino Royale, etc?

Yep, yep and yep. These are my favourite by far - the Outlaws are the least "plastic" feeling of all of them in my mind although they're still plastic! Having said that, I have nothing against plastic as my 1400 chip Emerald Bay set will prove. The Casino Royale chips have more of a Bud Jones style plastic feel - they're a bit softer to me. The Outlaws are probably a similar plastic to the Poker Knights/Mint chips they feel harder but what I like are that there is no edge flashing so the chips are ready to go out the box. I think there is a teeny bit better quality control or maybe just the mold is less used so the chips seem to have a better finish.

I had the Showdowns. They had terrible edge flashing. The edges on the Monacos are really nice.

The only thing I don’t like about the Casino Royale set is they look like they’d have serious dirty stack issues, particularly with the 25, 500, and 5000 chips.

I also like the Bud Jones-look of the Crown Casino set from Discount Poker Shop, but they don’t have a couple denoms in stock at the moment.
