Still working on them but here’s some progress pics, gotta get some ebony stain in the AM and I ordered the wrong size drop in cup holders...lol

14.97 Walmart stool
19 bucks for the wood
Needed new jigsaw blades and sandpaper anyway....lol. 10 bucks

I used gorilla glue cause the shit bonds to anything but ya can screw it in from the underside as well.

totally foldable as well for storage

So basically I just took the padded surface off, put the stool on a board wide enough and traced it, then cut it and sand. The stool had some pop rivets on the metal so I dabbed some paint on rivets for markers and placed the board on there for a guide and just drilled some recessed holes and glued her down. Next is to install the drop in cup holders once they arrive and stain. All in at 25 bucks per

nice...why not drill 4 cup holders into the original seat and use the money for caster wheels? not critiquing just wondering if you thought about it and it wouldnt work.

I think the padding looks very cheesy and once ya remove the padding there’s some holes that are noticeable.

Nice. Functional, attractive and cheap
I did a similar thing some time back. Just didn’t use the wood. Used a drink holder sized hole saw on the bottom of the seat, just through the metal. Cut an X in the vinyl on the top and pushed a drink holder in.
works great. Except I used regular size drink holders and beers with koozies etc don’t fit. I’ll post a pic in the morning. Just another option. Love yours though.

I did almost the opposite. I got 4 swivel bar stools to @T_Chan to turn into round side tables with a mini rail. Then put a wood block in the middle and a seat cushion on top to turn it back into a bar stool if needed.

Here are the ones I did years ago. They’ve been ok but again, the “regular” size cup holders don’t accommodate all drinks and there is not additional room for anything else. Either of the options above are better options.
