I remember buying my first set of chips. I wanted chips as close to casino quality as I could possibly get.
Future chippers will not have that desire.

Serious question, are Icon chips “cheap”? How much do they cost to produce? I have zero idea. And who knows, maybe in 50 years Icon becomes collectible like Paulson.I stayed at the Nugget about ten years ago, so correct me if things have changed, but it's downtown, its kind of a dump, and nobody really wants to go there.
I don't support this move to icon garbage at all, but I guess I'm not shocked that a cheap place would have cheap chips?

No...those would look betterKinda looks like a Tina no mold “tribute” to a Golden Nugget $5.
Nope, I stayed at the Gold Coast. My bad.I never considered the nugget to be a dump but it’s been a couple years since I’ve been.

Good, the market needs a correction. At this rate, Angel/GPI/Paulson will have to return to the home market just to sell any chips.

Is MGM LV moving to hot stamp?I thought this was just gonna be a Caesars thing for now...guess not. The MGM Grand $1 is a great, simple chip right now, but the hotstamp will change things.
