Love faded spade. The look, the feel. Even if they’re just being marketed well, and we’re seeing it on all the streams, there’s something about the semi jumbo boldness of their design that I admire. Not having to squint across the table. No more teases or false hope from A4. Yeah, I’m an obsessed fan. Am curious what the 2.0 is like, heard the 1.0 was bad quality. What are people’s thoughts? Better than kem and copag? Haven’t tried desjgn or any of the other ones. Got the old school faded spades just to complete the collection. Maybe someone will have a preference at poker night so it’s still nice to have.

I will have to try Faded Spade based on your Fandom.

I am a fan of J Design. Love em. Only problem is my hands get sore after a night of shuffling.

Haha I know the feels. Everyone is too lazy to shuffle or doesn’t know how so I’m the lucky one who gets to shuffle two decks all night!

I forget how i discovered Faded Spade, maybe from WPT on YouTube? I started with the 2.0 4 color poker size. My first impression was I hated them because of how slipper they were. Once I tried the bridge size I fell in love. I also bought a set of copag and kem because of what everyone was saying.

I bought two sets of the 3.0 when those came out and I was not disappointed. These are definitely my favorite.

The 2.0 4 colors are the best looking poker card I’ve seen. The texture is great too. My favorite card to play with. But you do start to get a forearm workout after a while.

3.0s are upstairs but haven’t been put in play yet

I'm with ya. I love the design and *snap* they have when peeking. A bit slick but I'll take that :)
I ordered a set of their old school decks and am stoked to have them. Dont use mine a lot, but its a treat when I get to.

Went against the grain based on the mostly negative reviews, of both the company and the cards, and dove in on 3.0 pre order because every other brand I play with ends up with scratched faces, dinged corners, and bowing anyways.

Ordered multiple 2- and 4-color setups and am perfectly happy. The faces are a great size, and 4 color are easy to find for future orders. I have no interest in trying the older stock since the 3.0 fits the bill.

I like the bridge size too. They have them at my local casino. How do you think it compares to copag?

I also love the design of the faded spade. I have only used the newest 3.0 version.

Id love a set of the green and purple 3.0. I see why they are always out of stock now.....thanks.

Definitely design of face cards is a big advantage of FS.
Are they better than KEMs, don't think so, they just very different.
There were some problems with cards separating front and back layers of plastic.. KEMs don't have layers, Fourniers have three.
I envy you your enthusiasm, I was going through this phase with KEM..
ENJOY

Love faded spade too. You have an impressive stock here
Yeah.. got a little carried away. Also gave away a couple decks as gifts. But I’m probably going to keep these sealed for now.

Hahaha. I remember I couldn’t get any when they were out of stock. So once I could get an order in I panic bought I blame the pandemic and supply chain issues for turning me into a hoarder haha.

That’s very interesting about the layers. They do seem thicker than other plastic cards I’ve used now that you mention it. Hopefully I’ll keep it at a healthy level of enthusiasm.

poker size, nice. Enjoy!

if you interested in defects of FS serch forum, there are at least two occurances described in detail inclouding pics.
also lots of people complaint on FS customer service, quite understandable since they mainly targeting poker rooms and casinos

I’ve tried every setup and these are hands down my favorite. For my table conditions and game they are the best fit. Good shuffletech cards and they pitch well on a big table. Plus easy to see if a big plus.

The 3.0 are apparently a single layer now so the issue of card layers peeling apart should be nonexistent. These are also one of my favorite cards to use. Too bad they don’t have more color options. As far as customer service they were good with me. I damaged a card and they sent out a replacement no problem.

That’s a relief to hear! Did you have to pay anything for the replacement besides shipping?

I request the 3.0's for the Wednesday warmup. Those cards are beauts.

These cards are stiffer then most, and some may find them too stiff. To those I say "hire a dealer" :)
They are, IMO, a great feeling card to play. They shuffle and slide well. I've put some serious bend into them just trying to see how they respond, and, they've performed great. No marks, return to form quickly. They've moved to near the top of the list, for me, as far as feel. I do wish they would expand their color offerings.

absolutely love faded spade. i think they are light years better than copag and the 4 colors are awesome! our games have always used them

After having both poker and bridge, which do you prefer? I like poker over bridge but idk if that's just because of the bridge I have being copag. Huge fan of the FS design for sure.

I made a poll on bridge vs poker size if you wanna vote in it!

What is the main difference between poker and bridge? Is bridge narrow?

Its confusing as most (to my knowledge) pokerrooms and casinos uses bridge size for poker and poker size for blackjack
I meant to say narrow, but i know what you mean. I hate playing with the narrow cards in casino's. So definitely going for the poker 3.0!
