I've been thinking about a Vegas cash set for a long time. After selling all of my Aztars (both tourney and cash set), I needed a new cash set (the micro stakes Paulson solids wasn't enough). Thanks in a big part to @Gear , @Drumhoss and @Spinettis Gaming , I have completed my 700 chip (708 to be exact) Vegas house mold cash set (y)

- I wanted chips from every casino I have stayed at (plus a few that I played at a lot)
- the Mandalay Bay 1's are a slight different shade of blue....in regular poker lighting in a splash pot, you can't really tell
- The Luxor's don't match that well, but I needed Luxor chips as I have stayed there
- the old Excalibur 1's were perfect for quarter relabels
- I hate red chips except for Mirage, so those made sense (my fav place to stay as well)
- Yes I know the $20's are oversized but the 100's are not. Ideally using Trop 25's and oversized baccarat 100's from Dunes made more sense but damn those 20's are sexy (plus the 100's won't see a ton of use)
- the $500 is really for show .. if that gets into play I will be surprised (I like the orange and blue spots as they are my Syracuse University school colors)
- the 50c Riviera are not on a house mold, but I love that hot pink with the hot stamp, and most are near mint to mint
- having both 25c and 50c are really not needed, however it depends on if the blinds are 25/50c or 50c/1.00 ... both chips will never be out at the same time
- none of the Mirage chips have Danny Gans or anything other than palm trees on both sides

Different drummer, very cool.
Funny thing about red chips - you hate them, I love them. And the ones you've chosen to live with - Mirage and Bellagio - are amount my least favorite. There must be something to that.
I love the Excalibur reliables - that's one of the all time coolest house mold chips, IMHO.
And you've gone with the most perfect $20 chip in the history of the world.
Well done!

There are very few red $5 chips that I like ... Wynn and Treasure Island are a couple others that I like (same design only two white stripes). The MGM and Caesars are passable like the Luxor, but for some crazy reason, I dislike red chips (the Aztar Indiana secondaries might be my least favorite)

Great set. I do like you fracs. Seem to be a few of us going for the house mold theme at the moment.

Love the quarters. I may have some of those if you are interested. Pretty sure I have at least one striped Bellagio five, too. I'll let you know.

Nice set (y)

Agree on the Rivieras. They fit in just fine with the house molds

The Bally's are the star of this show, IMO (aside from those glorious $20's of course.)
If anybody gets a chance to end up with these in quantity, go for it. They were just a joy to handle.

Very nice, i really like that .50 Riviera

Thanks. I could have done without 50c chips since I have quarters, but those hot pink Riviera were too good to pass up. Only downfall is they are not house molds (but who's really paying attention) (y)

"but those hot pink Riviera were too good to pass up"

I truly agree in what you said !! ;)

Do the excaliburs have enough recess for a label? I though about them for my mixed set. I’ve got 4-5 flamingo Hiltons I think if you’re looking for any more.

Yes, the good Excalibur do .... I had to get a bunch extra to remove any worn ones. It doesn't leave much room, but the gear labels are thin enough to avoid spinners

I am tapped out with 1's .... I actually had to sell a bunch as I had too many (barrel of Flamingos and a barrel of Mandalays were sold). After playing in a real game a few weeks ago, I was able to see what denoms I needed more and less of (5's being the more)

When I get the final shipment of Mirage, I'll post the latest pics .... set has grown quite a bit since these were taken (y)

All but a couple of the Luxors are gone, got a bunch of old Treasure Island 5's instead since they match the Bellagio and Mirage
