Guys, lately I have discovered that I actually like to design inlays for Poker Chips. Now, I ordered from Apache Chips but what If I want to have my own chip design?
I was playing with the PCF Chip Design Tool and it's great! the question is... who can actually make those chips for me?

Thanks!

Yeah CPC is basically your only option, if you want to get fully custom clay chips. Another way for almost custom clays is to relabel or mill and label existing chips, people do this a lot with Paulsons. But then you are limited to the chips in the market and the center artwork won’t be an actual inlay pressed into the chip, but rather a decal placed in a recess.

Then there are customizable plastic chip options like Matsui and Abbiati, and many places to get ceramic chips from.

All things are relative, with rising prices on all quality chips, if customs are your thing! Then absolutely go with CPC, they are quality Clay chips that will last you a life time. Even after countless hours of play these chips just get better and better where others wear down, get flea bites and other damage. These troopers just keep on performing! Plus it is totally customizable, the mold, the colors, shaped inlays... you name it, they can make it for you!

As others will tell you get samples... don't just choose a mold based off of looks, they all have a different texture and feel to them. Also it is a good idea to share your design and ask for feedback! Lots of chippers here have already been down this road before you and willing to lend a hand where maybe they made a mistake and had to re order chips because they thought in theory something would look awesome but didn't actually turn out that way!

Good luck on your customs journey and hope you are happy with them!!

very nice message Mr. Ben! thanks a lot!
I will look into it! Man this is getting an expensive hobby LOL

You have lots of options, from just replacing the inlays on existing chips to full custom clay chips. Each with its pros and cons.

You said you got chips from Apache - assuming you got the Royals or Majestics? If so, those inlays can be easily removed and you can have custom ones produced for $0.15-$0.30/label ( so twice that cost per chip ). Other off the shelf chips can also be de-labeled quite easily as well.

Next, you could buy used casino chips and do the same. Chips will be more expensive and possibly harder to find the exact ones you want. Removing the inlays can be more challenging as well. But then you have casino grade "custom" chips.

Then you could go full custom. Here you have options as well. Custom ceramics and plastics ( from various vendors ) and full custom clay chips from CPC. These options can be much more expensive ( it depends ), but you have full control to get exactly what you want.

Good luck on this journey. Ask lots of questions and get lots of samples. Enjoy!

what a great response. I learned from your response that I can remove the inlays in my Apache in the future to change the styling! I did not think about that, brilliant!
