I have a problem, do you? (1 Viewer)

Nah, I’m good on the sorority parties. I’m way past that lol!

@2jzMk3 : SIX hundred hp? In an e36?!?!! That’s ... bonkers. :eek:

Believe it or not, diesel too. Motor was out of a Euro model e46, had a Precision turbo, 6262 or a 6766 maybe? Insane torque too. I don’t think I even touched 1st gear. I was able to roast the tires in second with quarter throttle. It had side exit exhaust near the rear tires, such a badass car.

He complained about the swap though. The same car is now making 1000+ on LS and a lot of boost.

Here is a photo of it rollin some coal on entry. This was in the first half of the day so I was still entering pretty slow in second.

Okay, I have a problem when I sit at a poker table. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it happens to me every time I play. Home game, casino, or any other way that you can play Hold Em. When there are stakes involved, be it .25/.50 or 4/8, as soon as I sit at the table, I get nervous. It's not a fear or a situation where I'm uncomfortable because I only play stakes where I am comfortable playing, but it's almost like an adrenaline rush that makes me start to tremble. I'm not sure what this means, but I'll typically just have 1 or 2 crown and cokes, and then it goes away.

Anyone experience anything similar?
I used to get this in casinos and more rarely in home games. It's definitely the adrenaline. Recognize it as just that and enjoy the rush. This approach has served me well in other aspects of life - like dealing with the jitters before a big presentation. (I'd skip the crown and cokes for the latter though)

Side benefit: The rush can make your hands shaky. Use that to your advantage to give off a fake tell that you're strong when you're not. It usually works a couple of times before they catch on.

I just did my first stint in Vegas and was shaking like a leaf at the tables the first day. Soon I settled in and started playing, and playing well I might add.

That said, i couldn't lose the shakes when in a big hand, good thing was it seemed to work to my advantage and I had guys betting into me thinking I was bluffing, or scared when I was. Worked out well in the end.

When I see someone with shaky hands I usually think "they have it".

Yeah the guys that are obviously fresh to casino games usually have it when they start shaking like a leaf, or the shoulders start going up and down from the increased heartrate lol

You guys aren't wrong. I mis-typed. I had guys pulling back earlier in the game thinking I had it when I was bluffing, and later on they started calling when I did. So it worked out for me.

I used to have this at casinos but nowadays I'm on beta blockers and barely remember adrenaline. Strangely it only manifested at the local casino, but when I went to the US and played in Vegas I was cool as a cucumber, most likely because everyone was a stranger that I'd never see again.

Never used to but as I took a couple years off after a stroke and Covid I felt a lump in my throat whenever I have played lately. Hard to get past too.

Update: I started wearing a single AirPod when I play line and this has resolved the issue. Can’t explain it, but the music stops the trembling.
I get this alot. Good news is I do it all the time, so I don't think? it's a tell. I think I used to get it a little, but now it's much worse. Sometimes I settle in after a few orbits, sometimes my heartrate is thru the roof the whole time. I'll have to try the ear bud trick....what music?

Whatever is on my phone at the time. Usually something that I find calming. Sometimes Michael Jackson, sometimes Eryka Badu or Bruno Mars.
