Howdy - Planning First Semi-Custom Cash and Tournament Sets (1 Viewer)

Howdy,

I wanted to thank those who started this forum and to everyone active on it. I'm shocked at the wealth of information on here and how active the community is.

I've got the bug to upgrade from my current NexGen Tournament set and I'm strongly considering the Apache Royals with custom labels from gear or abc. I won't go into too much detail here since that would probably be more appropriate in a different thread. I just wanted to kick things of with my first post here and thank everyone for access to such a great community.

Welcome! Royals are a great choice, especially with custom labels. Just make sure to brings us some pr0n when you’re done.

Thanks everyone. Yeh, some friends and I bought samples (mostly china clays and some ceramics) back in the day when we all got our first sets. This was before Apache came out with the Royals. One friend went with the Milanos and the other went with Tiki Kings. I wasn't drawn to anything strongly sonI went the cheapest route and out together a 1000 chips tournament best of NexGen.

I recently bought a a sample set of the Royals and Horseshoe Casino Indiana Paulsons. I do like the idea of having the quality of real casino/Paulson chips but my eye is drawn towards the WTHC and Classic or James Bond Paulson chips. Big price difference movie up from the NexGen... Lol.

The Royals seem to be a great step up and offer the potential benefit of having a custom label made. I really like the color and variety between the Royal chips and I also think I like the larger size. They seem to feel and shuffle well.
