Hello all.

Greetings from Finland.

I have been trying to find a way to buy Nile Club or Nevada Jacks online.
Seems like most of the retailers do not ship these two brands outside North America.

Im looking to build a homegame stack of around 700 pieces, with denomination starting from $5 upwards to $1000.
(which means, im looking to a retailer with customizable chip sets).

Thank you in advance if someone has the time and effort to help me with this issue.

Best regards,

S.

UK imports are like £175 on top of delivery for 700 piece sets.

Could u explain a bit more? Are you referring to previous post?

Apache has the niles, pretty sure he ships to europe. Beware they will end up rather pricy with shipping and import taxes/vat. https://www.apachepokerchips.com/product-category/poker-chips/

@Nex has some scrolls that appear to be a similar chip with diffrent graphics for sale in the classifieds. Looks like a better deal to me as there won't be any additional taxes.

Thank you for the reply.

Seems like apache is not shipping Nile Club:

"While we will ship any of our sample chips international only the following chips from our poker chips page are available for international shipping: Casino Royale, Championship Poker Series, Desert Palms, Dunes, Majestic, Monte Carlo, Pharaoh’s, & Pioneer. "

I think I have a 300 piece Nevada Jacks ceramic set that I could let go. Denominations are not what you are looking for but it's a start. And these are in Finland!!

For import you have to check what the laws in Finland says. In Sweden i have to pay at minimum a vat of 25% of the value, including the cost for shipping. For purchases above 1600sek (like 160 euros) there will also be some sort of import tax...and how much tax depends on the country you bought items from. But if one is lucky it will slip trough customs. Or if the declaration on the package is in korean, haha, you might not have to pay more than the minimum. :)

How about Nevada Jacks then?
Depends on which version. Originals were okay, but overpriced. The most recently-produced chips from ABC are pretty good, and offer semi-custom options. And there are substandard clones out there which can be crappy print jobs or crappy blanks, or both.

Personally, I've always thought the artwork was pretty awful.

Nile Clubs are completely different from Scrolls. Different material, different texture, probably different manufacturer. Nile Clubs are super smooth whereas Scrolls have a coarse texture.

Also, I cannot recommend Nile Clubs. I had purchased a sample set of them along with the Scrolls, and while they did appear to be of better quality (finish-wise), they are very brittle. Dropped one on a tile floor from a height of not even a meter. Snap, two pieces. The Scrolls survived this test drop.

You can safely buy on eBay from sellers that offer to ship with eBay's Global Shipping Program. All the fees you have to pay are displayed up front. There may be slight fluctuations because of the currency exchange rate, but it's very close. That's how I bought my Scrolls. The Nile Clubs are also available this way. Nevada Jacks apparently not.

Tervetuloa lauteille!

I agree that those sets may not be the best quality ceramics. Maybe take a look at the classifieds here, some great deals to be had. I do have these available, but they are currently pending...

Yeah, expanding on HMK who was talking about shipping cost. Basically UK Import taxes are ridiculous. Everytime I've imported a set of chips, it costs me $80 in postage and then UK customs offices knock me back by an additional £100-£200.

And in Finland -> pokerimarketti.fi. Tosin verkkokauppa ei välttämättä uhan ajan tasalla.

I used to have those Nevada Jacks as my first set back in 2005-2007 and they used to feel slick as hell. I did not also like the design of those that much either, so after some time I sold them. Few years ago I got second hand set of these Desert Sands chips from the same manufacturer. Great ceramic chips with a nice design and they stack so well compared to those Nevada Jacks. Not sure is that because these are older ones than those Nevada Jacks chips? +1 for the samples. :)

My experience with Nile Club samples was they are very slippery and lots of spinners. I like the graphics and denomination options, but that's all I liked about them. It's amazing to me the differences in ceramics. Heck, even the hybrids have differences in feel and "performance" depending on which size chip and insert you choose.

"Always get samples" is the mantra around here, but in your situation buying a bunch of samples could quickly get spendy from a shipping standpoint. I found some of @Hobbyphilic YouTube videos helpful in determining "worthy-ness" of certain chips. It could help you at least eliminate a few candidates before getting samples.

Please don't order from pokerimarketti. They stole my money and didn't ship the products.

They stole my money too. Ordered a sample bag and never heard them since.
Going to file a report of them to a local police (i dont expect to get my money back, but it just might shut the site down...).

Thank you very much for all the help guys!

I decided to order from ABC. I placed an order around 10days ago and yesterday i received my 700 chip shipment.
Could not be happier for the service. Everything worked smoothly and they were really helpful to solve minor issues.
I had to pay around 90e customs, totaling of around 500€ from 700 pieces.

Heres a photo of my new babies, which are going to get their first tournament tomorrow:

PS.
I can finally flush down my previous tournament set from around 10years back:

Lol, you might want to put those up for sale. It is my least favourite version of the paulson chips, but they are worth quite a lot

Don't listen to @HMK, he is full of deceit! If you mail them to me, I'll make sure they are destroyed in an environmental friendly way fully compliant with all current regulations. You just need to pay shipping and a small fee to me.
